Well I've just finished Death Note (only took me 2 days to read teh whole thing... how depressing) and am looking for a new manga to read.

Here are my only criteria

Mature
Deep undertones (human flaws, revenge, justice.. etc)
Good to read

Some of my most recent readings/watchings were Neon Genesis, Berserker, Death Note

dude, that is the funniest anime i've ever seen. the chick is remembering how her mom hit her and her step-dad molested her, and then some lady come out of nowhere and takes her dog.

also, just noticed you were talking about the manga. haven't read it, but the anime was good gore fun. :D

Jokes aside, the anime ain't gore fun to me. It is all about perception and ways we see things, I for one, thought it was brilliant, like the rest of the people in some other forums.
