Well, just the otherday I was exiting the shopping district of Server 3 when a random person, 11 levels lower than myself, comes up wishing to purchase both my full Rune Set and my Adamant Set(hadn't sold it at that point). Saying he'll buy both for 1 million gp. Tempting it was, so I asked to see the cash. And surpringly enough the kid did have 1 million and abunch of low level gear(When I met'em he had nothing on but his inventory seemed tobe filled with things that only cost a single gp at the general stores).

Anyways this deal seemed too good tobe true. Most likly was. So I canceled the trade and made the excuse that I needed my things pyrchased seperately. Starting with e adamant. Since I had left my Rune Kitshield in the bank and wished to sell it along with my armor.

Nonetheless the individual was relunctant and demanded that everything be traded at the same time. It was at this point that I knew it 'had' been too good tobe true so I merely waved him off. Stateing that if the trade couldn't be split up than it most likly wasent a trade I was willing to risk putting my items into. Afterwards the kid said I missed out on a good deal and went off to bug someone else in full Rune(I only had meh chainmail with me. Havent got around to finishing DragonSlayer on this account).

So I ask, did I make the right call? I 'did' see 100k GP in the trade window but the guys lower level, explination(said he found 1 million off the ground. Wished to buy my items for 1 million yet right next to us were abunch of higher levels selling rune for only 200k+. That really threw me off since I only had chainmail on, not plate. And a Dragonfire shield, not Rune Kitshield), and unwillingness to split the trade just made the deal seem more like a scam by the second.

Was I right n the matter for not going through with the trade? I mean, 1 million is alot but the risk on tradeing everything? No way... Looks like I better stick to massing a thousand or two yews to sell on the streets.

Well, I always go with the trade and then check the final trade menu since it shows all exact amounts...so that right there would have let you known.

Yes. I used to when I was a newbie click really fast. Then one day I learned my lesson. I was trading 20gp for a bronze axe and he took away the bronze axe... :( Now I'm very careful. When I'm trading Dragon I'm really, very, very careful.

Generaly I want the whole set. People can say they want to give to you in diferent trades. Lets say the set is 100k. Example, not talking about anything in particular. 5 piece set. Helm, Body, Legs sword Shield. They say I'll trade in 5 diferent trades. 20k for each. First they put up the sword, charging well more than it's worth. Then maybe they'll put up the helmet, selling for much more than what it's worth. In the end you've been scammed from them saying they'll also sell the rest of the set, making the price the right price.

Yeah, thanks. I thought it was a smart idea not to toss two armor sets in for a million gold when the guy was a lower level than myself, and people were selling the full set for far less right next to me. Even screaming it multiple time(alot of sellers on World 3 at that time). So I suppose theres no reason for me to think too much into it now. Since if I did than I would have been tempted to have done that and lost everything.

Afterall, the staff doesnt give things back. Sometimes they dont even get the scammer. So yeah...

You did make a good choice...Finding the money on the ground..Yeah...Right...He could have massed up a good amount by selling Cowhide to people for a decent profit but..I doubt it..

Well my sister, who is UBER smart about computers told my that if somebody really wants your account, or information, they can use/make a program that can get your information by trading with you.
