I.. don't know what to do, about a half-hour ago, i WATCHED my dog Oakley die. He let her breath out and i saw her head hit the floor, it seemed peaceful but i think something killed her. i mean, i took her for a walk and she was playful, running around and etc. We got home and she didn't touch her food, she came to my room and looked at me, than walked to the next. Thats when i heard her breathing her last breath.
I Have no idea what to, i didn't help her and i feel horrible. my father just took her to the vet.
Im sorry for wasting a topic but i just needed to type that out and get it through my system, i feel like crying but i just cant..

I had this dog since I could remember and his eye was going to fall out, so I walked him, and I would never pet him like I should and walk him. So the vet says we have a month or so left and I go to Football practice, I get to the parking lot and found out they had to put my dog to sleep because in the morning, his eye would have came out. D: Great dog. I know how you feal man. Oh, and this was like 5 hours before my birthday. I posted it on these fourms actually. xD I know you feal. You'll never get over it, you will just learn to keep it semi-closed in a deep part of your heart. I'm sorry for your loss.

I remember one time my sister's rabbit (he was like 14 yr old) was injured by my dog so they put him in my bathroom in a little area next to my shower. I go to take a shower next morning and i open up the shower door to get out, and its staring at me, dead.

Aww that sucks dude. I remember when my 1st dog died. It was TRAGIC.
He got ran over by a purple minivan and then one of those honda trucks then a cadillac. His stomache got ripped open and his intestines and other shit in his stomache fell into my lap when I picked him up. Thing is he was still breathing. Blood was coming out of his mouth and all I said was. "It's going to be ok max!" With tears streaming down my face onto him.
Thats exactly how it happened too. Worst day of my life pretty much. Makes me want to cry just writing about it.

Oh man. I'm sorry dude.
I've always felt worse when ANIMALS died than when people died...I've always felt much closer to animals (like in movies, I couldn't care less when people die...but, animals...that makes me so sad!)
Good luck with coping. I know that can be tough.

Well the vet has the results, she thinks it was a Brain Enurism or however you spell it, the good part is she died in peace. but my life will never be the same.

wow, **** you dude.
anyways to the OP:
that is a very peaceful way for your dog to go, you couldn't have really asked for a better day for her to go. you got a chance to be with her, hell you even played with her and walked her on her last day, that's wonderful for you. you were there for her!
your dog died knowing you loved her, and that you cared for her. there was no way you could have known that was coming. don't feel bad.
she'sat peace, and soon you will be too. give it a couple days and go down to your local shelter and give another dog a new life. :)

Its harder than that, she came to us and said goodbye, not verbally but physically. she gave my dad a sad look standing on the stairs, and before she died she sat in my room next to me on the computer. Than she went out beside her toys, laid down and that was it..

See, this is why I'm afraid to get a pet. I'm a tough guy but I'll bawl once it comes to a relative death.

Dude, writing my previous message my face was drenched in tears. Thinking of it just brings tears to my eyes, never getting to wake up and her being there, no more walks in the morning. no more nothing. i still have my cat though, thats a good thing.

it's hard now, but that will make you feel better later. she knew it was time. she died peacefully. you couldn't have asked for a better way or day for it to happen.

I have 2 dogs and I cant imagine them dying - it'd be like losing a close family member.
It didnt sound painful at all for her and thats reassuring at the least.

Well, at least your dog seemed to enjoy her last day with you.
