You need to be fairly artistic to become any good at it.

CG is just shorthand for Computer Graphics. There are more styles and types of CG than a normal person would expect, and as such, even a person without the talent to draw or sketch could create something spectacular.
A couple of programs you can use are:
Adobe Photoshop 7, CS1, CS2, CS3
Adobe Illustrator CS1, CS2, CS3
Adobe Dreamweaver CS1, CS2, CS3
Adobe Flash CS1, CS2, CS3
Adobe Effects CS2, CS3, CS3
Adobe Freehand MX
Adobe PhotoShop Elements 6.0
Autodesk 3DStudioMax
Autodesk Maya
Blender
Corel DRAW
Corel Paint 7, 8, 9
Maxon BodyPaint 3D
Maxon CINEMA 4D

you need some talent to draw, and if you're over 15 you might as well give up because to get in any CG colege you need quite an impressive portfolio.
also, if you lack creativity and you still go down the path of an artist, you're in for one tough ride.

try using commas
and you need an art portfolio showing your own work, I've been building mine since last year with different sort of media, from vector art, to traditional drawings, 3d, cinematography, photography, cut outs, did some recycling and my most recent piece was a scene on the current war using vectors that were printed on about 11x5 gloss paper and cut out with an exacto knife and given a skeleton
either way, depending on your college of choice, the portfolio may vary, the crappier ones just accept you, but the quality colleges look for deviations in your artwork, creativity and if there's any analytical value to it.

basically it means that you need to have a good collection of your own work with different art styles. most of his post is about him making a "scene on the current war using vectors printed on gloss paper, cut out and given a skeleton".

I am currently at Sheridan College, known to be famous for the school of arts.
I'll tell you this.. Becoming an artist is not easy. There are so many talented people in that field and you will be competing againts them. Some of the students create fabulous pieces and even they are worried about finding a job.
Most art fundementals (thats an introduction course) are really good and wants to get accepted into animation. (alot wants to get into film and gaming side) But trust me they are all trying extremely hard to stand out againts their own classmates. In this career you need to be very talented.
Not saying your not but giving you a heads up.
