Uses a FBA with netplay coded from scratch, the current build is a bit buggy but they have added quite a few games since last time.

The king of fighters 98 (best ****ing game ever)
Vampire Savior (best ****ing game ever)
and Marvel vs Capcom.

You could also get Guilty Gear XX#R for the PC it has an online patch made by fans. Even though the game is outdated it's good to play against another human to develop strats and practice your BnB combos against someone that doesn't suck.

Akatsuki Blitzkampf, Melty Blood Act Cadenza, Immaterial And Missing Power, And uh I can't think of what other doujin fighting games have netplay. But those should keep you busy if you can find someone to play with. There are others out there that have it too. Just hard to figure out cause of Japanese.

As far as regular MMO type there really aren't any. Kwon Ho had that whole genre to itself. It is amazing that they ****ed up so badly.
