It's not an MMO o.O
Graphics - Great
Gameplay - Great
Online play - None
NPCs - funky looking.
So yea it's a good game.

It's a great single player rpg, but I wouldn't buy it when there are other means of obtaining it.

one of the best RPG game i've played on the PC by far. It's fast-paced-real-time fighting. Very unique game where you can almost do anything you want. If an NPC pissed you off for some reason u can take out your wep and beat the shit out of him. There's too many stuff you can do in that game i can't possibility list it all out.

Awesome! Well actually Torrents go SUPER slow for me......(Assassins was gonna take 3 weeksO_o) But sounds like a good game i think im gonna go for it! :p

main story mission are NOT abunduant but there is so many quests to do and so many gates to close. fun as hell.
DO NOT EVER USE CODES ON THE GAME... killed it for me... found out how to hell whatever i wanted, edit my stats, spawn items... NEVER do it if you want to play this game for 100+ hours.

All I've heard is bad things from nwn2. Laggy as hell, and same as nwn1 with just better graphics. Oblivion is Amazing though! Download mods for it.
http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/article.asp?CIID=36919
Go there to get the most out of the game.
Mods really can add to the realism of it though and make the gameplay better sense the monster spawns on the original are kinda weird. Now that you brought it up I think I'll play again :)

oblivion story sucked...the combat wasn't that good either. mage was so overpowered i never got close to dying once. the mage guild was actually a better story than the main quest.

funny you say that as most people needed mods to consider oblivion playable. you don't think they have improved on nwn2 since release? the game is not the same as nwn1. nwn2 has A LOT more character development(think kotor series, though this game is no kotor).

have you ever done any of the oblivion gates?? or any quests further into the game??.....because the quests get quite difficult...
oh and to OP another fun thing about this game is that you get to create your own classes so thats pretty fun

That would be an error,, at least go download OOO http://jorgeoscuro.googlepages.com/oscuro'soblivionoverloaddownloads
and the unnoficial patch, and you're good to go, even tho there are other awesome mods for this game, thoses two will fixes many bugs and add a lot of content to the game. I obrained this game like 3 weeks ago and im so enjoying it.
and LOL to the guy who said oblivion story suck,,, you are kidding right ? each city has its own story and problems and quests,,, theres allways something new you never heard when you talk to NPC'S , new books to read,, new topics to overheard,,, only deus ex and maybe morrowind has better story

It's fun every once in a while. :eye: Too bad all the questlines are relatively short.
You need a decent system to run it smoothly. The NPCs are made to be ugly as sin, so don't expect much there. Otherwise, the game was decent enough.

um thats why u can teleport lol.
its a great game with TONS of possibilities and sidequests, definitely get it if ur computer can run it with descent fps.
o and mods that expand upon the game shouldnt ruin it, as long as u dont download and give urself some godly sword that kills everything in one hit or hack the game to otherwise make your character ridiculously powerful. but downloading extra quests, etc. should be fine.

Trust me you want mods. But get good ones. Like natural enviroments and retextureing. Go to the link I posted earlier and you'll see some there that make the game better, more challenging, and more realistic.

the .esp file goes into ur data folder. If the mods have folders that say textures and such, they go into the appropriate folder. For example, if one says folder textures, then sub folder armor. You go to oblivion, data, textures and extract the armor folder there. Now later on if you happen to download another mod that says textures, armor like the last, don't just go into the data, textures folder then extract it. You have to extract the contents of the textures folder downloaded in the mod into the oblivion textures folder so you don't overright the whole folder. Let me know if you don't get it lol

Mods will only ruin a game if you have ones that conflict with each other.

Use this in order to make your data folder more organized.

It's a fantastic game.
Quests are mostly very interesting, visuals gorgeous, and gameplay solid.
Music is very well done too. I haven't got the chance to try the (apparently vastly superior) PC version, but either way, this game rocks.

I have one more question: I chose Knight as my class but now im regretting it and i should have been something like Theif or Assassin. I can still try to be one right? And Also does armor have a big affect on dmg? If i have armor that does 7 def thats heavy. Could i use armor that has like 2 def thats light? Would it make a big difference? THANKS!

It depends on what ur character is good at. If they are a wood elf or something small you want to use light armor. They will be more proficient with that and it will defend them better. On the other hand if you are a orc or red guard use heavy armor. And the game is pretty well balanced so being a knight is fine :).

Any character can do anything, you aren't stuck with X armor or X weapons because your X race/X class

There is a class that you choose at the beginning that determines what your main attributes are, even though you can still train your other ones, they won't make you level up which means you can't add to your stats.
You can change your class with a console command: showclassmenu

Anyone who chooses the second option has either:
A ) Not played Elder Scroll games
B ) Is an IDIOT.
Honestly I would go for second option if it's not heavily modded. The inventory management is so cluttered, the water looks like some blue mud and the way monsters are levelled with your character makes it IMBA. (Imagine how many whacks to down a monster if you are a level 40 melee character)
You'd better stop making such stereotypical comment against people who disagree with the poll. It makes you look ridiculous.
Well actually, I find oblivion to have too MUCH freedom, I just can't get into it because there is no reason to do anything besides "I want to". Freedom is good, but atleast give us a goal, besides "oh, do the main quest, but don't worry, you can take as long as you want"

Who ever is insisting not to buy it but "get" it somehow should try to think for a minute. If Bethesda Studios didn't want money for their products they wouldn't put a fee on it. They need the revenue to patch, make expansions, pay their employees, and make new games. So if you want an Elder Scrolls 4, get a job and buy the game. $40 won't kill you. Sure you may think that "Hey, its only a few people." find the total number of downloads per torrent and multiply that by 40. Thats how much money Bethesda Studios has lost because people say they love Oblivion, but they stole it.

Oblivion wins in epic proportions. It has very good graphics and if your comp can't stand the graphics that Oblivion demands for you can always set it down. Plus it's way less confusing than Morrowind but Morrowind was more open ended and had far more content than Oblivion in my opinion. If you like adventure games with stunning graphics and decent game play, you really need to get this game. BUY IT NOW.

I always loved morrowind, if just turn into the thiefs guild, do all theyr quests and stuff, then wander out and search caves and stuff.
I dont even remember whats the "main" quest Lol.
