I have been playing mmorpgs for years more then I care to count and I've played more then I care to name.

I prefer a sense of accomplishment, and I'm about sick of the mid-evil fantasy genre.

I am looking for a game like pso/psu that actually has leveling progression but I don't have to watch my character fight ala wow, ffxi, lineage, everquest 2, ragnarok online, xiah, pristontale, tales weaver, Domo, darkages, daoc, lotro, etcetera... I could name hundreds of pnc mmos where I do 20% of the work while the game's auto attack and pre rendered skills engine does the rest long as I face the monster, but thats getting off the point.

and I am not fond of ch based pvp mmorpgs such as gunz, raikon and the like.

So any ideals, something with a setting present or beyond would be nice, I'm tried of castles, and chain mail.

And I'm tried of click, watch, sleep, 1,2,3,4 repeat games... If I wanted to watch the fight and have minimum input I would watch a movie.>_>

Hmm, well I don't know your specs exactly, so I can't really single some out that are good for you.

Are you looking for a MMORPG? Or just an RPG?

There are plenty of action RPGs out there, not a lot of "action" MMORPGs though.

The MMORPG world is still growing, and engines like that haven't been developed yet. (Mainly because everyone is too busying making god damn WoW clones)

Yeah unfortunately I understand what you mean by still growing. Nah I do specifically want an mmorpg, but I guess the problem is not many people have found ways to do it without either pnc, or tab attack and watch. Guess I'll need to get comfortable with phantasy star universe aoi, not bad or anything just they really need work on their AI system for the monsters... That and the severs can get kinda ghost townish on the weekend.


And yes your right the clones of four major games need to end one day, it's getting old.

the problems is the whole *MMO* gaming industry are busy making games..that the point..there is no gaming company out there developing new engines/technology etc...of course doing that costs money (LOTS OF LOTS OF MONEY)that why most company make a game p2p or f2p with cash shop and than they get the money they needed (if not they make a few more games) than when they have enought money they should devote thier times to develope new things for the gaming world but no they either too greedy or something and keep making games lol...that the problem there IS NO COMPANY THAT IS PURELY DEVELOPING NEW GAME TECHNOLOGY>...

You could try Lunia. It's ALL keyboard exect for choosing which "stage" you want to enter. It's heavy on the storyline and quests, and is pretty fun. Although, honestly it's about as much fun as one of those Arcade adventure games. It gets pretty stale after a while...
