Im looking for a game that doesn't necessarily require a guild/clan to be successful but it makes the experience better

Also would like:
Active community (like not a dead game with like 1000 people playing occasionally)
Decent Graphics- Don't need to be too good i played runescape despite the terrible graphics lol
Decent PvP- Like not just click and attack type some skill needed

Anyone have anything close to this?

guild wars?, buy the game and off you go, or down load it and pay for the game set online. umm well max lvl 20 its based around guilds eg: you can choose pvp mode for an automatic lvl 20 class of your choice join a guild hire a few npc merchs and fight

Potentially shadowbane (depending on your opinion of the graphics and what has happened to the community since the server reset).

Shadowbane is free... There isn't even a cashshop.

Shadowbane or Guild wars is your best bet you can't do any good PvP without a guild in Shadowbane and well Guild Wars is self explanatory.

You can do the best type of PvP in shadowbane without a guild! Random meaningless ganking of anyone!

Being an assasin and destroying a group of three 75's is great PvP. Or a Doomsayer and a scout KOing half a dozen.
