Shadowbane

It is F2P (Don't listen to those who say it isn't, they are wrong and smell of cabbages).

You can start PvP at level 1.... But I'd advise against it (Oh, you may not get the choice if you want to PvP or not if you don't start on the newbie PvP-no zone island). Max level is 75, you could probably get 2 or 3 characters to 75 in a day if you wanted to. Most stat points and all skill points are resetable. PvP is pretty much anywhere, anytime (a few safe zones).

that sounds good, how are the graphics? they dont need to be super good i dont mind if the gameplay is good. Are there different types of pvp like mass war? and organized pvp with like castles and stuff?

What Is The Max Lvl In Shadowbane?

The graphics aren't amazing, and it is point-and-click. But the PvP is fantastic (and the races / classes / subclasses / disciplines make for a lot of viable builds). If I was going to start again I think I might make a dwarf prelate, or an arycroix scout.

PvP types -
Open - Anywhere but a few select areas are game. Pretty much if someone is farming and you have someone with track, you can find them, kill them, then take anything they didn't have equipped (If you are a theif you can steal from them without killing them).

Mines - Mines are open an hour a day to be capture by opposing forces. A few disciplines can set them on fire while other classes are more adept at smashing with hammers. Mines can give a significant amount of gold or materials used to make items.

Banes - Guild vs Guild pretty much. Player made cities have trees of life (The name might be off), the objective of a bane is for the people who placed the bane seed to destroy this tree. Catapults (I can't recall what they are exactly), NPC's, and swarms of players fight. The defending city also has spires which can change the effects in a small area around the city (E.G. no flying, no invisible, no teleporting, I think they can change elemental effects too [eg fire does more damage]).

The max level is 75 - Easily obtainable in a day if you get into a guild right away.

I haves 1 question.

Is the PvP In Shadowbane Diablo 2 like or runescape like?

I mean do you just sit there hacking n slashing or can you actually move around and avoid Aoe n stuff like that?

This really makes very little sense. Most of the game is outdoors, I don't think there is any actual dungeons (You can go into buildings).

While I prefer WASD too, the game is point and click, and cannot be changed.

Movement is quite important (A couple characters with flight + speed boosts can harass and kill a larger group of enemies if they are good) but a lot of the fighting is either bombing away with ranged attacks, standing toe-to-toe with another melee, or chasing down a kiting caster.

Youtube for videos (Make sure you aren't just watching a rogue kill off low level casters as that won't show you what a fight is like).

I'm looking for a game like this too but shadowbane just seemed too crappy to deal with..the graphics just sucked and the control scheme is old..won't even go into clipping and all that mess.

I liked fury but I'm looking for a more open world pvp type of thing like the OP mentioned.

That really depends on the zone you are going to. A lot of them are dark, but there is some forest / snow areas.
