Hey guys i Need your help on this one, Im thinking of buying Battlefield 2 but Warrock is kinda like it, can anyone tell me which is better?

Well as this has been said before Warrock is just a downgrade of BF2 More laggy much worse graphics and not nearly as good game play.

Everyone here is going to say BF2 is leaps better then Warrock because their nothing more then tools that business's like EA thrives on (zomg, I payed moneyz for BF2 so its def. better!). Best bet is to try both for yourself, or at least see if you like Warrock (since its free) and if you don't then just get BF2. Problem solved. ;)

BF2 has things like the graphics over Warrock, for sure, but as far as gameplay is concerned it's really something to try for yourself.

BF has armor owning you with the occasional lag

WR has a better armor balance and Aircraft isnt so dominating (Played in operation Engrene and managed to shoot down aircraft with an AA gun (and its mobile variant :eek: ). But it at times unrealistic (An Humvee with an MG can damage a battletank?)

The levels do nothing for you, other then a simple ranking system. No one is made stronger by the levels. What your looking for is the item shop, and the advantage of a different gun isn't that great.

Lag is bad, I can agree with that. But more servers are going up every couple of weeks, and more will continue to go up. Go to the one closest to you and hopefully it'll be okay.

Wolfenstein is leagues ahead of this game and it's also free, so I have no idea how it being free has to do with anything. And considering that the maximum requirements are so high, graphics should be atleast a bit better than what they have. Also are you certain you're not experienceing lag at all? Because that's a god damn lie. If your computer is as bad as you make it out to be, then you should lag out the ass with all the people connected in one room, the size of the 3D models in the game, the size of the maps and the distance (and technical specs) of the servers. And indeed, it's very buggy, when you type hotkeys are triggered, causing things like unwanted jumping and the opening of menus, if you don't find a place to hide, you'll be killed. Then there is the "phantom bug" where everyone on one team will have died at the same time except for one person, and force the mission to drag on. And let's not forget the Virtual Memory bug. It doesn't matter if it's in Beta, there are plenty of games in Beta put together alot better than this game. And yes, I'm biased, I'm biased because I'm telling the truth about something. Wow, I guess I'm also the biggest hypocrit in the world for telling my sister not to drink milk. The game is bad, bluntly put. Compared to BF2 it's not even worth being considered an FPS....or even an S for that matter. Well you cant expect to compare a free game to a p2p game from a big company like EA. I have both games and Warrock is exactly what I expected: A graphically and gameplayability lowered version of BF2. (not sure if gameplayability is even a word...) This is an unfair arguement, it would be like comparing WoW to runescape. (runescape wins duh...I cant even lie about that one...RUNESCAPE SUCKS) which would be...no contest. So find another free BF2 ripoff and compare warrock to that and you will have a fair arguement. Oh and Warrocks lvl system is like americas army's honor system. Doesnt do a damn thing for you.

Eh.. just thought I'd confirm that this statement is totally wrong - Levels give you absolutely no advantage in the game as of now, it may be different in the official release of the game, but from what I've heard it will probably be more in the way of being able to buy/use new guns at higher ranks. Anybody should still be able to own a much higher level if they have some skill.

I choose BF2. But it's not because of graphical supremacy or playability. It's the community. Warrock's community is very noob-unfriendly. Plus it's hard to level up, you'll be dying every 2 seconds by higher level people.

I choose BF2 because the entire BF series was an innovation in online FPS. 64 people online? That's crazy. Warrock is a rehash of what's been done.

Filters are overlays that you put on a layer. A layer is exactly what it sounds like. I had two layers on that sig. That picture of hte Knight from RO and the layer for the text. I placed a "Crosshatch" filter on the knight and I put the text layer on top of the Knight layer. Layers are like sandwich ingredients.

How is it i'm a moron if you just agreed with me (unless you consider yourself a moron as well) and the reason I stated EA would make a better game was for the same reasons you just stated. It's only common sense they would make a better game, I dont see how that is moronic.

In my opinion, they both suck. Warrock for its named flaws, but also Battlefield 2 for being a huge steaming pile of shit. EA is trying to monopolize the video game industry by buying out smaller businesses or crushing them. Oh and by the way, EA forces you to pay for big updates to the game.

I don't know how many of you are gonna understand this, but why EA put Starforce as Battlefield 2's protection is a mystery to me. I hate the game copy protection that EA put, all it is it a huge pile of spyware. Oh, and not to mention I can't play BF2 without it crashing 5 minutes into a game. Also, not to mention I have to pay $20 for 2 new vehicles and a few new maps. Oh, and not to mention I need to wait 5 minutes to load a map, when I have a 3.2 GHz, 1 Gig ram machine. i like warrock more actually because i like the gameplay more and its kinda easy for me, maybe because there are too many noobs. battlefield 2 is much and much better with graphics, but the gameplay isnt that good... thats my opinion :o

i have a lovely idea, why don't you just go play Joint Operations or something, that games i fairly fine, has NOTING to do with EA (so no one there to complain about that, as a relief for reokushin) and it's precisely the same genre. It's has better graphical features, better than warrock, lesser than BF2, the community is fine, it doesn't require a high end system at all, rather the average (1gig, 256ram, 64-128mb video) and it only costs about 19.99USD.

although, small remark on EA (sry reokushin). The one who said EA sucks because they monopolize and crush other businesses. First thing you should know, EA is not allowed to monopolise and eventually, they wont due to a measure called 'free market' ... They will be prosecuted if they should anyway. Second thing is, how do you even think of saying EA monopolises? Did you not considder Microsoft? Ubisoft (which is even more succesful than EA at the moment). get this, EA CAN and WILL NOT rule the market ...

Oh yeah forgot about how the guns sounds like, they sound like serious crap and they anoyed me, seriously. I have absolutely NO idea why so many wanted to play this, maybe they never tried it yet and got disapointed too, some loves this game, they have the right and everything, play I don't give a crap... I'm just giving my opinion so that you know how this game really is, your choice but I'd recommend playing BF2 instead and if your pc can't run it buy xbox 360 and play online and if you can't do that either well.... play Rakion or Gunz cause all these games and WAY better then WarRock, I mean EVEN the title of the game dosn't sound good... WarRock? meaning War Rocks? I'm not sure if thats what they mean but if yes thats lame, the title dosn't sound professional, well its not because of the title, its the game... IT SUCKS.

It's his opinion about your opinion. And actually reading through that ridiculously biased post again, some of it is just flat out wrong. If something is simply not true, thats not even your opinion, its just slander.

Dude.. higher level in WarRock doesnt mean more hp or anything.. its probably because of lag. Anyway Battlefield does pwn WarRock. Theres just no competition. Graphics wise, gameplay wise, 100% Battlefield is better.

Well, BF2 is obviously much better than Warrock in graphics, gameplay, everything gamewise. But there is ONE big difference between BF2 and Warrock. Warrock is free. Nuff said.

The people who are making it (as far as I can tell) are getting NO money WHATSOEVER for making the game. Remeber, free games are not going to be ANYWHERE as good as commercialized game. I've tried that before, the whiners just used the "Enemy Territory is free and that game is good" angle. Not realizing, that it was backed by a successful and stable company and was built with the production values of a retail game, then switched free at the end.

Graphic-wise, sound-wise is all obvious, BF2 comes out on top. Gameplay-wise is debatable because even though they are similar, they are not the same. Some might prefer Warrock's fast-paced arcade style shooting to BF2's realism.

warrock (no respect for it, therefor the letters aren't capsed) - is horrible. Unrealistic damage, Bad...scratch that, HORRIBLE graphics, horrible controls, and a very noob unfriendly environment. Adding levels to a tactical FPS makes it hard on beginners because of the fact tat it's harder to kill, but easier to get killed. When a person levels their HP and SP are upped, meaning more bullets taken, and more rolls. This makes it hard for people to land a hit or do damage. You literally have to team up 3 new people just to take one person down. I've seen that happen. LAG, lag is the keyword! The game lags like my Aunt Pearls bloomers (I don't really have an aunt pearl) and vehicle battle makes it worse. Not to mention missions are unclearly explained and the game is very buggy.

BattleField 2 (plenty of repect for it, therefor the letters are capsed) - Realistic damage, way easier to get into, awesome graphics, awesome controls, and lagless. Vehicles are seemless and the controls for them are top ace.

In all truth, comparing warrock to BF2 is like comparing 29 cent Spam to a Sirloin Steak.

BF2 is a realistic strategy game. And it has nothing to do with it. The game was produced by two well known, stabilized, and VERY succesful companies. So this game can very well be compared to ET. The companies' financial statuses have nothing to do with the game's quality, especially if it made it into E3. So if anything, you should really stop breathing down his neck because he made a valid point.

you should try the other modes other than mission mode, mission mode is similar to css but the vehicle and the other one is just like bf2.

WarRock is a good game and so is Battle Field 2 but in the end it is the same thing i played both first of all yes there is lag in Warrock there is also some in Battlefield 2 also there both the same in realism i mean i shot a guy 4 times in the heart both games no death and the level up thing in warrock doesnt really matter of hp because its skills and stealth that matters basically comparing the two games is like Comparing a burger and a burger with lil decorations on it oh wow better graphics... also Battle Field 2 can get annoying because on the X-box version oh launch the missle at the enemy base oh look at that five kills and you can easily steal the base : D

WarRock is fun. And Levels have nothign to do with Strength, EVERYONE has an equal chance. The difference comes into skill. But, I would say BF2, but I'm not going to bother buying it, considering they will be starting beta for BF2142. Right now, I like playing WarRock, it's not about graphics, it's about having fun. I usually have fun when I am playing, mainly because I am good enough to kill 3 people before I myself die. My main problem with the game is. I am sick of seeing people from other country's playing. They play on any server they want with no regard to the fact that there is a server already in place for them. People don't understand that if you play on the server set up for your region, you won't have a huge lag problem. I play on the US West Server, because I'm on the West Coast.
