No no one hates you, just don't make a new thread about this

Uncalled for? What are you talking about? I was just saying that Spell Check comes along with Firefox and that if he downloaded Firefox, he wouldn't have to worry about people talking about his lack of grammar and spelling. I don't even care that much for grammar and spelling. I might want to perfect my own rhetoric skills, but that's got nothing to do with how others type. I don't care how other people spell things or if they use correct grammar or not. As long as I can understand what Jokersgonewild is saying without having to kill a pig, I'm not going to get all feisty. Explain to me what in my post was 'Uncalled for'.

I realize that the "You will be now that you've created this thread" might have been a bit harsh, but others are thinking the same thing. There is no reason to create a topic like this.

Apparently you think that grammar bothers me. This is just to spite you. It's grammar not grammer.

Oh, and I love you too.

You just answered your own question. Obviously others are likely thinking the same thing as Onrpg consists of a large population of e-thugs, I however was under the impression that you, who I very much respect for your great posts, would have the tact to be a little less blunt. I know that you don't need to use tact over the web, but still, no need to be so harsh. You also said that you could understand his post, I don't see what the point of correcting him was then as the point of a post is to get your point across. And you got me on the grammar thing. I lost my 4th grade spelling because of that horrible word, it scarred me for life.

I'm extremely cranky these days. I have no idea whether it is due to listening to too much Cranky Geeks, puberty, or my recent experiences on Maple Story, but I've just been a bit rude these past days. You'll see some hate in my recent posts. I know what I said was a bit harsh, but guess I should be apologizing right now. I was rude, and I apologize for that.

In my first post in this topic, I was joking around. I like to use a little bit of odd humor in many of my posts. I certainly don't hate Jokersgonewild, but I'm sure that there are those who might "hate" him due to his past posts. "You will be now that you'd created this thread" is just my way of saying "No one hates you, but they might be annoyed at your posting all these meaningless threads". Perhaps I wasn't blunt enough. I don't understand what you mean by "I don't see what the point of correcting him was...". I haven't correct Jokersgonewild at all in this thread. Elaborating would be nice. It would show me exactly where I've gone wrong and I'll be able to change for the better.

The last thing I wanted to bring up was that it's good to be blunt. It might not make everyone happy, but sometimes that's needed. Being blunt is the only way to get your point across. Tears will be shed, flames will be ignited, and trouble will brew but being blunt is just telling the person you're directing it to exactly what they've done wrong. No beating around the bush. It's not a bad thing. Think of it as "harsh constructive criticism".

Why is everyone for not hurting each others feelings nowadays? What is in people that make them want to save the world and be nice to everyone? Sometimes life isn't going to be nice and pretty, when you, for say, tell everyone at school you got hit in the head with a lead pipe, swung by yourself, what do you expect them to do? Tell you that their sorry and cry over your bruise? Or laugh at you and call you a complete moron?

What I'm saying is that being too mean is a bad thing, but being too nice is a bad thing also. Don't ice the cake for him.

Oh, and back on topic. All you want is pity for something I can't even believe happened. I doubt you have been hacked, because apparently from what you have said you haven't been tampering with third party programs. Meso-seller, unless you give them your information, can't hack you.

oy, its because its a way to resolve this into a win-win situation and not make any more drama then there needs to be(IE bluntness lead to this thread) I realize that there are times to be blunt and times to shut up, but this is a time to phrase things a bit nicer and try to calm someone down that thinks the entire community hates them.

The last thing we need is a leaving thread, and I am trying to prevent that. Don't think of it as icing the cake, think of it more as like negoitioating with someone who's sucidial your just trying to calm them down and help them. Yelling or being blunt wouldn't help there, and this is the same sort of situation(not as drastic mind you)

I'm so tired of everyone whining about how harsh someone is. For shit sakes, no one needs to be babied, this is the interwebs. You want people to be nicer go to pre-school or something.

And people need to learn how to fix their spelling if you can't even freakin' tell what they're saying.

Where would we be if people who spoke their minds didn't exist? We'd be back in the ages of heavy racism and slavery F3. I don't see how he's being a dick if he's telling people to get over internet drama. If you still think a person like that is a dick then you'd be insulting almost everyone on this forum that we "live" in.

Look, I don't need to be blunt if I can still get my point across in a nice tone. I would much rather tell someone they are doing something wrong in a nice tone then tell them what they've done wrong in a tone which might hurt their feelings. If I can say the same thing but with a nice tone, I would gladly do it. It's not that I just want to be a good person, but I know what it feels like to have someone be extremely blunt with you. Granted, I was a bit younger at the time and probably thought of it as an attack rather than constructive criticism, but I still remember that it felt like to be crushed. It wasn't a good feeling, and I would never want anyone else to feel that way. I was such a baby in the old Onrpg! Good thing I've gotten rid of my diaper and proceeded to play with the big kids! Of course, this would never happen again due to my overwhelmingly large ego.

If I can avoid being rude, I will. If they can get my message and learn from it without me having to resort to any form of violence, that benefits both of us. That doesn't mean I'm going to be extremely nice all the time. If someone were to come in and start being a total donkey, I would try to deal with him/her nicely. If they don't respond in a kind manner and admit that they're wrong, I wouldn't be Mister Goodie-Four-Shoes anymore.

@Nefari: I do not see why Ala's post would get people to hate him. That's just his personally and I like him for it. He's a lot like Ben, he's funny, charming, blunt, and not to mention unbelievably good with his large hand. He's just speaking his mind in a different way then me. Not everyone is nice. Being nice isn't exactly a great thing either. I consider myself to be a 'nice' person but if I need to sacrifice my 'niceness' to teach someone something, I would do so.

@ Everyone

I was not, in fact, referring to solely Hellz last post. I, just like you all I'm sure, read the forums and in general I've noticed that it does not seem like he is a very nice person. Talk all the shit you want about "sugarcoating things" and "speaking your mind". The fact is there are kinder ways to say things so that threads don't turn in into giant flame wars or arguments like this one. I am not asking you to sugarcoat anything, I'm saying that you do not have to act like a total ass to get your point across. People tend to respond better when others don't act like dicks. Your clever little quips do not impress anyone.

dang you ben.

I think the problem with being blunt in situation's like this, is that it turns it into a lose lose situation for everyone else. The person in question is either crushed or angry and the rest of the fourm has to deal with that.

Being blunt can work, but in situations like this is selfish to make the rest of the fourm deal with someone who is angry or sad and that person will either start posting very definsivly(dragging a topic far off course) or will start posting nonsense threads(like this one), I realize "sugarcoating" things can be bad, but so can being blunt. It makes you come off as an ass(as we've seen) being blunt is good, but in the right situation. This frankly needs things phrased nicer so it doesn't affect the community(with a flame war or some thread we didn't need in the first place)

phrasing nice can turn this lose-lose situation into a win-win.
that or im spouting nonsense.

This isn't an interesting world, it's realistic. In the real world in which we all truly live in, people aren't always going to be nice. Yes, some are. I'm actually a very kind person in real life, where people aren't half as annoying (or stupid) as on the internet. That is, people that I associate myself with. Some people in this great big old world are rather annoying.

Personally Zac, I don't feel the same way you do. I think being blunt with people is the only way to truly get your point across.

Example A: Person one is very blunt, and he says to person two : "Your a fucking dumbass." Whereas, if he wasn't blunt, he might feel the same way but say this:

"Your views are not the same as mine."

Both sentences mean the same thing, but can be interpreted in different ways. This makes sense to me, might not to you. I don't know, don't really care at the moment. THERES F***ING APPLE PIE IN THE OVEN. :D

Do I need to get serious?

And as for all of you. Shut up. Being in retail, I can tell you from experience that how you word things makes a world of difference. It really depends on the person being addressed and the situation. Getting your point across doesn't require being blunt and vulgar at all times. Outside of work though, it does help quite a lot sometimes.

oy, but there is always a way to handle a situation. If someone is angry and n a frenze(about anything) you can't go up and say "you;re a fucking moron" that will justmake them more angry/sad, it just DOESN'T work with people that are defensive like this, they never take it the way you mean to push it in. Phrasing things right avoids conflict and makes each side happy, i realize people arn't always going to be nice, but you don't need to go out of your way to be a dick by sayin "this won't happen in real life".

Itseasy to say, joker your being stupid and no one will like you. and its just as easy to say, Joker this wasn't too smart a move, we can be harsh sometimes but there was no need to creat a thread like this, and the community might be more angry at you D:
