I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix my game guard problem.
Well the game guard launched and it said game guard error 112; its when it cant run because of virus/hacking tools or lack of memory. I don't have any hacking tools and have sufficient memory. So i ran my anti-virus protector and it found 3 infected objects : gameguard.des, gameguard.des and npsc.des. I deleted them to clear the virus error, but then when i launched maple the game guard has another error. Game guard error: 153, its when the game guard is corrupted or has missing files.
I have tried everything i could think of, including re downloading the gameguard, when i launched maple after i installed the gameguard it said error:112 again. -.-

I'll appreciate all your help and consider all your suggestions.

My firewall is always off, I have been able to play maple for a year and this has never happened to me before.

Delete the gameguard folder in your Program Files, it may be corrupted. Try it and see if it works.


-Edit. Then run Maple. It'll redownload/install all of the missing gameguard files.

thnx for your suggestion, but i have already attempt this method. Every time i re download and install gameguard it ends up with infected objects. When i delete the objects, it says i am missing files. It is like a never ending cycle and i don't know what to do. :(
The only thing i can think of right now, is that if i replace my gameguard folder with my friend's working maple game guard folder. What are your thoughts on this process?

yea thats what i am think as well, but i do not know how to get the virus off those files without deleting the actual gameguard files. The game guard will give me the error 153, missing files or corruption when i delete the infected objects. Since the anti-virus will delete the whole file that the virus is attached to, not the actual virus.

I don't think it's possible to de-attach a virus from a file. What I would do is scan your computer with Antivirus and Anti Spyware then redownload Maple and anything else the virus attached itself to.
