Ok, so, honestly, no-one goes to the free browser/mud section.

Whats the best MUD in existence, according to onrpg's opinion?

Sorry, but rules are rules. Moved, but I'll leave a permanent redirect for you. This way, you can get answers from both sections.

Hey thanks, Marine, didn't know you could do that ^^

Yeah, I'm looking for something I can get my mind going with... I've been a little brain dead lately :(

MUD's by Iron Realms Entertainment are grappling, just like a book.
I enjoy them.
Especially Lusternia. :D

the best i've played so far has got to be Medievia (http://www.medievia.com/)
the game has way too many features for me to list here =D
and it's huuuuge, like millions of places to go
but then again it was the first MUD i tried so after that i guess i didnt really give others as much of a chance

[edit.]
and i forgot my account -.-
[edit.2]
lusternia does look pretty interesting, might try that ;]

I like muds, and I'm new to them, but still I like them. Specially medievia. it looks great with alot of possible options and its got some visual stuff to ^^
Sucks tough that I can't play any muds on school :( the firewall here blocks them.

what does everyone think of Materia Magica?

Trying to decide between that and Medievia

Last I played, none of the Iron Realms game had an in-game map.

I get really easily lost in MUDs (I find them more fun than MMOs though), so its really really nice to have an asci map that I can look at, like what Materia Magica has.

MUDS and browser games are like reading a book rather than seeing the film. Often the book is better than the film!

I'd go for medievia, it got me hooked right from the start ^^ its really addicting and a good community and stuff like that!

Age of Lords - Legend of the Green Dragon started to be a MUD but don't know anymore... haven't been there for ages. But it isn't a Sci-fi one though
