Porn used to hide code or some crap in them before. Usually as a *.wmv file, they would redirect you too a link to install the proper codec to watch them. Of course, the so called codec was spyware or worse.

What antivirus program are you running? It should have caught that lame popup thing....

Oh.. and you'll kill just about any viruses right off simply by enabling the various Active-X blocks, pop-up blocks, raising your internet security levels, and not opening any email offering to enlarge various body parts/ giving away Nigerian millions.

Limewire? Why would you ever use limewire? Spyware ridden piece of crap.

Get Ares (from sourceforge)... same thing but not crap. (although people might share virus infected files just the same, at least you don't start with spywayre like crapwire).
