Okay, since a few of you thought that the idea of a permanent host for the SOTW week was a good idea; if more of you think it is a good idea please post in this thread along with a nomination of your picking and why they are qualified. You can nominate yourself, but the person you nominate needs to give reasons as well. I will edit this first post and add any nominations as well as a follow up thread with the nominees.

If you guys think this is a bad idea and believe nothing good can come of this, just tell me straight-up, and I'll stop this nonsense.

I think it would be a good idea, considering the facts of what just happened.

But it would also be a bad idea because it would limit the bragging rights, but the winner of that week could reserve the right to choose the next theme.

One or a group of trusted people should host and organize the SOTW. They can participate aswell. The winner chooses the theme for the next SOTW.

Can the host participate though?

Maybe have two hosts and switch between them when one is too busy? That way they can both participate. And have a back up host if one can't do it for some reason or another.

My idea is that the host will pass the torch whenever they don't have time to host a SOTW, to someone they know and is trustworthy.

You see if you become permanent host, you can't participate, because as Host you have access to seeing all sigs with free range of ideas while the rest of the community doesn't. I suggest we have two to 3 hosts in which they switch off so they get to participate 2/3 times. In that case I'd nominate Serix, C&M, and one of the newer guys (either Target or Cody331)

Well the graphics section and anime section are under general mod jurisdiction.

I doubt alot of people on OnRPG have lives.

My suggestion would be to use someone who doesn't participate to receive the submissions for SOTW and post up the poll that way the perma host can also participate.

and I don't really have the motivation to do sigs anymore, with me having to build my portfolio and finish 2 web design projects atm, so I'm fully free, and it's hard to not be impartial when you're just setting up the polls and taking PM's
