This is true. Its not a BS rumor or anything of the like.
On G4's X-Play, Adam Sessler made an announcement about Blizzard reserving the site name for Diablo III. Even though I have no video source about this, I do have this:
http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s248/cyber7chink/DiabloIII.jpg
source (http://www.g4tv.com/xplay/episodes/7643/Summer_Games_Preview.html)
I was watching the 2 X-Play episodes today so I can see some good in-game video Conan. I am buying the game as a present for someone.

If it's what I think it is, we had a huge *** thread about it.
Wonder what they're going to do with it, it just seems to epic and too suspicious to ignore.
Hopefully Blizzard wont come off as an ***, if they only bought the site to reserve copyrights D=< That's going to be my face, for a long time.

All this d3 talk has gotten me in the mood for diablo again.. I need to go and find my cds xD Can't wait though, and the diablo4.com thing is lame. I'm thinking blizz has that idea held onto incase WoW starts dying off due to newer games (WarHammer, AoC) they can release that and have the hordes of diablo fans join. Could possibly be fun, but I'd rather see a d3 personally.

I don't get how Blizzard is gonna juggle Diablo III and World of Warcraft at the same time...
Oh well at least it's gonna be a lot better then what flagship studios is trying to do with Mythos, Hellgate London, blahblah etc etc...

Unlike most companies they can afford more then 20 employees, so it won't be a problem at all. They've have two separate teams, one for each game, most likely.

I love when monkeys fail.
Old news? Depends on where you look. For the ones who are on the internet 24/7 (no-life monekys like you), yes its old. For those who have a life and use other sources of media for news (TV, newpaper, and radio), its new news.
TV is still the largest source to spread news.
So whats the point in my thread? Hmmmm...
There are members that will find it new news, proof is in this thread.

Yup, use NC Soft as an example. They publish and develope more than one game at a time. Look how huge they are.

Still has got nothing to do with being on the internet alot or not.
3 Threads have been made, its been anounced on 30th at night, and there was a timer about it, and the site changed.
And ive been yesterday at night, and today at night (right now), i have school you know.
Also, http://www.onrpg.com/boards/88904.html
Lol again
AND it doesnt hide the fact that you indeed are posting news that have already been posted (and discussed) in a few threads, and my only reply is: search bar
Ill stop now because i already have an infraction and dont want to get banned or something.

Oh I know that it's just that being a lot of people have been playing World of Warcraft.
A lot of people have been anticipating Diablo 3 as well so would a part of the population switch to World of Warcraft for the new game?
So what I'm saying is will WoW keep it's population while another huge game comes out like Diablo III?

Of course. It's like saying will all the Super Smash Brothers Brawl fans ditch the game when Halo 4 comes out. It's two completely different genres of games, thus players will stick to the ones they love most.
Plus, Diablo is a casual game series. Doesn't require hours and hours of playing to have fun, thus people could enjoy it while being a hardcore member of the World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft is a huge world, lots of grinding and large-team battles like raids. Diablo is casual, smaller groups and rooms, different style of player vs. players, etc.
Even if people go split time, they still spend the same amount, so Blizzard has nothing to fear. Most companies try and keep numerous genres of games, rather then using the same one twice.

This is what I dont get. On the News Adam Sessler announced, Blizzard purchased the site. From what I have been reading on the fansite and other places, the fansite's domain name was given to Blizzard.
Makes me wonder if Blizzard purchased domains with alternate spellings.

You could try looking, but yeah, the owner of the Fansite gave over the domain name without a second thought, Blizzard was nice enough to let them switch servers tho.

Maybe blizzard got the Diablo3.com free
and they bought the DiabloIII.com
just food for thought

Yeah, I saw that episode as well.
But I do remember that Blizzard said that this means in no way that there will be a Diablo 3.
Course, all I know about the games is that you can fight giant flail-swinging cows.
Too Human looked really awesome. If only I had a 360, I'd be jumping.
