This has been posted before. Just wanted to bring this up for people unaware of it :)

This an excellent total conversion for the free game Enemy Territory. Great conversion to Enemy Territory as Counter-Strike was to Half-Life.

Try this out if you havent already. Really fun in my opinion :D
It could use some more people in it anyway.

It is pretty easy to get started

1. Download Enemy Territory
2. Download True Combat
3. Install Enemy Territory
4. Install True Combat to the Enemy Territory Directory

Any bots for TC:E???

I tried searching the TCE forum as well as the ET forums but all I found was things about a story mode or something that features shit like bots. Plus it's for 0.49, which is supposed to be coming soon and my patiance is wearing thin...

Anyone here know of any bots that will be able to be run on TCE? I heard Omni Bot might be one but I heard from another person on their forums it doesn't work...

Anyone know when enemy territory : quake wars is around?

This mod only works for rctw? or also ET: Wolfenstein?

This game is definatly a better one out there ive played it for a while on and off and i never get bored of it its GREAT!

It's online, and in imy opinion one of the best shooters around. Downside is the player-base has been falling lately and alot of the older clans quit playing.

Fun game, but does get to addicting...

This game is the best! I've been playing it for like 1.5 months or so. Once you start playing it, you can't stop! xD Just play BC, not sucky objective.. -.- Everyone plays BC :D

Well, I can tell you that I'm not a noob. I got half the #Eclipse-Esports team on their public spectating me and taking PB screens of me every now and then. They all thought I cheated because I had "Hyper fast reflexes with sniper rifle."
But then I played 1on1 with a guy named Ty, from the Eclipse team and it went on pretty well, he taught me a few tricks and now they think I'm the best sniper in the world o.O
But, hey. It's pretty damn easy to run and shoot with a sniper on this game.
Raggaa still thinks I cheat though.. -.-

TC:Elite pwns, no crosshairs; somewhat realistic; fun and addicting, although i would like more servers and players .. i only see about 5 servers up.

Well I would say to choose the AK if youre on the (Terrorist) side. That was my first gun in that game when i started and i was getting plenty of kills with it. It may be that because the recoil on the gun isnt that high when trying to spray or something :o . or Perhaps I just got beginners luck :D .

Yeah the game is awesome, but as what was mentioned in this post about *counts*.... quite a few times, it lacks some players. Could use a lot of newbies like I myself (Played for 2-4 months now) to get better and better.
Played with someone one the servers today and just started calling everyone noobs and that they sucked. Come on man, let them feel welcomed. He could be just ticked. Newbie is a better word than Noob haha.

True Combat is a tactical first person shooter of some sort. Points of the game make it better than Counter Strike. Not fast paced. Not slow paced. Just FLow paced hehe. :cool:

this is 1 or 2years old but o well, i played it back then i was in place 50 in the top 100 or something i was in a clan but then stopped because it was to easy >.> then i moved to CS (yaaa) and cs and TC (true combat) are kinda the same but TC u have to aim to shoot and it's slow paced while cs is to fast paced and i die alot lol.

if u want alot of servers dl the TC mod for ET then dl the latest ET vers after u've downloaded the TC mod and then there will be like 1000000servers. (or less, dunno if people stopped playing it )

I tried this a long, long time ago. But I gave up, why? Because when I try to join certain servers, the downloads and file logging takes forever. And no one bothered to put up the complete map pack. So I just stick to regular old ET.

Sounds interesting. ET's my favorite online FPS, it's really a shame that the server I used to frequent is now barren and a bunch of other servers have gone down. 18% and going. Hope it's good.

TC: Elite is awesome, it is probobally the best mmofps out there, but yeah it needs more people, and if they work on the game a little bit more, it could become more popular than warrock, i think it's already more fun than warrock lol

Use MP5/40 or AK-47/M416A1 i you're going to use automatic weapons, as for snipers. Use R93 or SR8.

Lean alot and when you shoot, don't stand still, move around and try to hit your target. It gets easier to hit them after a while.

Does anyone know how to make maps for the game? or would that be too complicated?

I tried installing and running the thing....didn't work, couldn't get any servers to come up.

there are some servers that i cant join, it says i dont have the maps downloaded i dont get it, and i only see like 5 servers and only one of em has more than 3 players

on obj i get this little problem saying "Something has to be =1 or something".... and after a while on bc i get kicked for no reason. it even says kicked for unknown reason lol.

well on bc when you get kicked for unknown reason its prolly cus u keep blowin up your teamates by accident with grenades, taht happend to me i threw it and my teamate walked on top of it lol

lol. but i dont kill my teammates. i just get kicked after 5 min even if i just stand there.... and on obj i get kicked right when the round starts

if u cant find ne servers but a cuple u need to get et patch 2.60 from sum place like fileplanet or sum place else/ is cs better or worse cuz i saved up about 60 bucks and i was thinkin about gettin cs but i dont wanna waste my money wen i culd play sumthin equal or better for free

i think that TC: Elite is currently not better then CS, BUT its almost as good, and when the .49 patch comes out it will possibly be better than CS, bottom line is, I recommend you keep your 60 bucks, play TC: Elite, and have fun! and if you dont like it u can go buy CS but try TC: E first
