My luck is pretty good on this game. Or is today. Came along a few rares, even tho im not sure if they are rares or not. They just seem to give well needed bonuses, and thats fine with me.

And the skill system is weird, or for my archer it is. Didnt have troubles with my orc berserker.

Graphics are bland... character movement is terrible. The monsters look like crap..well at least the early ones. Other then that its an ok game,but theres botters everywhere and just the character movement with WASD is bugged as hell.

The controls sucked.
The levelling was ultra slow.
Game seemed uninspired.

Currently waiting till NeoSteam gets better translations to play that. Till then I am back on EverQuest2 and Final Fantasy XI.

ill join ya but i really dont like to party unless needed for a boss or something...look for Reveille/Elliever whichever one is available.

I do agree that the WASD movement couldve been put in better. but i honestly dont really use it to tell the truth, so its a non-bother for me.

The mobs are pretty weird, but only at small levels. Once you get higher, the obvious cooler the mobs. Im not even sure cool is allowed here, but i used it anyway.

The classes are kindve a rip off, i will agree with that also, but for some reason i didnt like L2, but this, im having no problem what so ever with anything. No bugs, or lagging. I just really cant wait til i can pvp and do the guild sieges. Those are just to fun

i cant download until later tonite since my brother is home and he doesnt like it when i download while he plays either on xbox live or WoW.

it kinda lame that orc sorcerer has same skills as mage. berserker same as knight an so forth. but overal its a cool game. i liked the equipment. it looked cool.

It's too bad you guys are playing on Evengarda. I have a lvl 52 Elementalist on Brumhart.

I personally like this game better than L2, the graphics aren't bland if your computer can run the game on the highest settings.

The mobs do suck at lower lvls, at 50 things start to get interesting... but most people quit before they get there. XD

all I have is a lvl 21 ( I think may be higher) moonelf archer....

though I am poor ingame only have a little over a 1kk.....

I just hit lv10 and it honestly didnt take very long. The quests kept me company while i went out and had my fun.

The servers seem to be on a constant medium/ high. The towns seem prety bussy (except for the starter ones). But I havn't ventured out since re-installing it.... I need to pick a server to start over on >.< (my bro deleted my characters last time I playd).

I didn't even bother to play archlord because it's hosted by Code Masters.

My taste in games are VERY high.

I've played sooo many games where i've quit after an hour, and i'm Lawl'ing at the 1/10 and 4.7/10 and 6/10 reviews on this game on the internetz. I don't think this will cut it for me.

Im going to try Shaiya. I never really looked into much and it looks like a better variety of classes. So hopefully it works out better. Archlord is fine if not tho.

Archlord, my friend was banned there cuz he scammed CS items.. like alot of em..

(I am against those scam bots etc.. so i keep calling him FAIL in real life... he showed me bugs and glitches (or etc) on school (we arent allowed to DL but we do ^-^, never seen sutch half finished abuse + buggfest..)

Shaiya, okay u have difficulties modes start on normal (recommand) hit 50 then hard hit 50 again.. then ultimate but on ultimate DONT EVER hunt without a priest/oracle (otherwise when u die its cash shop)

Yeah sorry, i just didn't see it being any faster to start a new topic then to just ask here.

I did try to keep on topic, but i don't want to get to far into Arch cause i don't know if im going to have to change servers. So while i'm waiting for everyone to choose a server, i guess i'll just try some other games.

i forgot what shaiya was for a bit until i went to the site.i played it in beta testing,the graphics were pretty nice and everything,i didn't play for too long though,cuz it remined me alot like L2 as far as races/graphics go. I might try it again sometime

Thats the reason i want to play it. Im not drawn away from clone games at all. Most likely the original is and will remain the best, but some "rip offs" are worth a try. And i hope this is.

I've only played on Brumhart, and it is full of drama. It's pretty funny.

I dont know i guess just how to upgrade is simple enough. I know how to use the gems or stones or whatever, but i dont really understand how to get them. Specific mobs or just certain ones?

They drop randomly from mobs. When you are under level 30, your best bet is to use physical defense prayer stones (lvl 1 or 2). These can be purchased at the auction house. I would recommend buying armor from the auction house at your level, as opposed to trying to get stones, and armor separate, as it will probably cost more to do it by yourself.

I don't think a manual patch exists...

For those having problems with Vista, I think all you need to do is run as administrator.

Archlord is simply an amazing game, its just that..

It needs LOTS of quests!!! Its SUCH a grind to level..insane

No chance of me buying it until they get some of those damn issues fixed. It can't even run macromedia fireworks, or Dreamweaver fully, I need them for my graphic and web designXO

I just remembered why I didnt like the game.. uberlag, uberugly font(really really pisses me off, all the stupid asian games with their ****ing ugly font), graphics are mediocre too, and gameplay's bad too.

I'm not sure what "EQ" stands for but Green items mean "Normal", Orange means "Rare", Purple means "Unique", and Tan/brown means "Elite".

The boxes you are getting are Elite armor or Weapon chests. They're usually not worth opening because not only do you have to spend CC (cash shop currency) to get keys to open them, you need to use Destiny Prayer stones (also a CC item) to give them stats, and slots that make the weapon or armor worth using.

Around lvl 15 forget using normal armor if you can. Always try and use rare or unique. Make sure the green stats for the item boost your HP, and Physical Defense. Prior to lvl 30, you are best off using physical defense prayer stones in your armor.

the auction house is in town. the item merchant or something.
to register an item in auction house, go to your inventory and press sell. That below in the corner of your inventory screen.

The game is good if you can speed the entire game up by 2x.

I agree the game has its speed problems in leveling, but there comes a point in your life well, when you need to stop expecting so much. All games have grind, so the way i see it. No matter what game im playing, its going to have grind. So i might as well play a game that does most of the other stuff right ya know. Arch Lord isnt be any means even a great game, but its better than what ive been playing.

Everything these days has something wrong with it. Holic would be a really fun game if pvp came and the community got bigger. So until then, Arch Lord will most likely be the game i spend time and money on. ...Til then.

People saying leveling in Archlord is slow .......
Sure it's not the fastest ... but it's still pretty damn easy and quick to level.
The hardest part is to stay in that mediocre game.
