Seems Warcrafters might not be destroying their social lives quite so much after all; or at least not all of them.
I used to be in a clan on Warrock and my clan leader mentioned the clan in his resume because it counts as leadership experience.

So our video game experience is turning into real world experience. So if you play Battlefield and want to be a doctor you just need to have 130 heals under your belt. lol

Lol. Show all the medals I got in Battlefield 2 and I should automatically be in the army as a infantryman/pilot/crewman/commander/medic/engineer/sniper

You decide.
Anyway, I suppose it is in some ways a show of leadership if you can control people over the internet.
However, it'd probably depend on your employer. I mean, if you were looking for a job in video games, then stating something like that would probably make sense, as it shows both experience in the selected field of employment and leadership.
Plus if it was WoW the employer would know you have less of a life than they do and therefore you'd be more likely to get a job which requires large amounts of time as you have little else to do other than play WoW.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I put the fact that I moderate these boards and get a ridiculous amount of money for it on my resume/CV.

what do they give you each month? a penny whistle and a bag of jelly babies?
this idea is stupid. protip: interacting with people on the internet is not the same as interacting with them face to face.
not matter which way you look at it everyone behaves differently on the internet and approaches problems differently than they would in real life. if someone has strong experience for a given job then adding that stuff from WoW wont hurt. but anyone who thinks that gaming experience can form an integral part of their experience overall, even in 20 years time, is a bit of a prat.
dealing with an angry and abusive player on a game is infinitely more easy than dealing with an angry and abusive person in real life.
in the game you can troll them or just block them.
in real life you might get punched in the back of the head.
same happened for my cs clan leader said he ran a clan that won some tournaments as leadership

people will be different leaders on a game than in person. on a game you can say anything you want, why irl, you may be shy and quiet. So i dont see how this can really qualify. you act dif on internet than in person..
