An MMO is any game which many players play together on one, consistent world.

Most shooters, for instance, are not MMOs because they are room based, and not based on a consistent game world.

Simple.

MMO mostly suck while real games,not made by runoff the mill companies,usualy have fun online modes.

But MMO=Massively Multiplayer Online.What you mean is probably MMORPGs.
