My Advice is use this to get use to it. Move to a sketch pad or something. This program is good for just fooling around IMO.. Just tried it. Oisterboy has some good works. He uses stencils and markers. Id pM him. I myself work with paints on shoes atm. I rotate canvases a lot.

Lol my nub attempt with a mouse.

-Gone since he already saw it_

But I think Photoshop would be a bit better then this. The only good thing are the different caps.

If you like this I suggest getting a Small Wacom tablet.. Then move on from there if you enjoy tablets.. I think there about 50$ USD.... hm

You got MSN? I think that'd be easier. My aim is acting up so yeah. Basic steps is actually try to copy others.. Just don't reveal it, haha. Once you get a feel for a style add onto it.

Edit:

Also.. I suggest the second one. Either the first or the second.. Im not to sure about the third.

I'm planning on downgrading my "gaming" desktop to a decent convertible laptop. This is one of the things I look forward to be able to do.

I do real graffiti. No offense or anything. Your work has toy written all over it.

I would suggest you look at tutorials. puregraffiti.com is a great site and it has a secton on digital graffiti.

To be honest, I think digital graffiti ruins the whole POINT of graffiti (either to 1) get famous 2) make a statement that people will see or 3) show off your artwork)

I didn't even know digital graffiti existed to be perfectly honest. I spray stencils and do stickers most of the time. I've done some freehand stuff, but its really a waste without the proper caps (thins, fats, wides, etc)

If your at all interested in physical graffiti (didn't want to say "real life graffiti", it sounded mean for some reason) I'd be glad to give you some links and show you some of my stuff. :)

Sorry, I have to disagree. Not everyone is an artist to be famous, to show it off or to make a public statement. Graffiti is an art style, it's not entirely necessary that you do it on the side of a building or on a bridge or wall or wherever is typical of the physical art form. Though there are techniques that utilize a spray can that probably can't entirely be mimicked or even allow you to adapt your own through the digital version, I can imagine it wouldn't be impossible to stay at least somewhat true to the form especially considering there's a 'studio' designed just for that. Any art form is game for relaxing, clearing your head, and personal satisfaction at your own ability to create something that comes to mind.

Just fyi, I didn't exactly mean digital graffiti is what I'd use a tablet for, though I wouldn't mind giving it a try. I really meant digital art in general.

I'm in no way trying to shoot down this "digital graffiti", but when I do stuff, I try to do stuff old school...as in roots.

The roots of graffiti were meant for those 3 things.

Ever heard of the "fame game"? Its cool...an underground scene where someone can "get famous" from other writers seeing their throw ups, etc...but nobody really knows who anyone else is.

Thats what the graff scene is around here.

Sorry if I came off as rude.

BAcking up oistys statement. There are alot of famous graffiti artists who are making money like Bansky in london. I think you guys should watch style wars where it shows the very true roots of graffiti. I mean Digital is cool. I see some rly sick digital work. I would only use digital as a hobby for like sigs and wallpapers. I don't think its comparable to physical graffiti because physical is all handmade and colored out by hand.

Get paint markers or any markers in fact.

Artprimo.com is the best place to get stuff. You can also go to Michaels,AC Moore, or any art store for markers. You can order paint at artprimo or get someone who is 18 to get you spray paint. I would get a blackbook or sketchbook to start off. Look up graffiti alphabet and practice writin those tag letters. Also, think of a tag name for yourself. Something unique and short. I use three names sometimes which are Minus, Trip/Tryp, and sometimes tape.

Just practice practice. Puregraffiti.com is a great place for resources.

Yes and can be used for outdoors for tagging like flowpens and paintmarkers can be used in blackbooks or outdoors. Industrial markers are strictly outdoors..
