it's stand alone, and a modification on the Quake III engine, but i tell you, besides the rather weapon swing animations, it's very impressive what they accomplish, graphically seen, i hope they will add a lot more weapons, armors perhaps, after all, it's only a public beta, first phase.

never ever make a FPS with a medival setting unless you know what you're doing, this game is the shittiest game i have evre played, i dont care if its in beta right now, but from what i played its the cheapest game ever, the guy needs to make a lot of changes to this game, first thing, you gotta do something about long ranged weopons, cause if you play thats what everyone is going to just use,it WOULDNT be a medival game if noone used swords and MAKE it 3rd person, and it would be alot better if it was MASSIVE what kind of a medival battle is with 16 vs 16? i suggest no one try this, i expected some realism elements especially if you're making it medival. and about that RPG thing, dont listen to that, the only you can do is buy weopons, wow, and magic? why magic, is there ever a medival game where theres no magic, i would rather see 2 sides running at eachother hacking and slashing eachother to bits, rather than having LONG RANGE guys jumping off ledges, shooting arrows at a fast rate, change the long range weopons, if using crossbows it should take awhile for the guy to reload, and just put classes instead of buying weopons, and give a LIMIT to classes or everyone is just going to want to be archers.

Well for one thing, the makers of Darsana never said they were going to rock the gaming world. All they're doing is trying to make something that people might enjoy. What's so bad about that?

even though its not out yet :( but its going to be amazing, this game is going to have everything, able to choose any job, blacksmith, soldier, ect get voted to be the leader of a town ect collect tax from other players that live within the town, AND all realism NO MAGIc, NO HEALING POTIONS, NO MONSTERS and no level-based, just skilled, "practise to get better at something"

Okay, I Finally Downloaded the Game (Took A While, Me = Dialup, Still Only 60 mb I Know). Its Fun, And The Way The Maps Were Setup Is Done VERY WELL, But The Downloading Of Wav Files Is UNBELIEVABLY RETARDEDEDEDEDED!

This game is dead, nobody is even hosting servers and there is 0 people in the ****ing main channel itself.

Do yourself a favor, play some Mount & Blade (http://www.taleworlds.com/) and pray that Taleworlds gets some money to make an online game?

Edit: Well, just started it up, cant seem to find any games, although I do think it has potential to be a fun little diversion. Definately not a long term / replacement game by any means though. Maybe fun on LAN too. . .

First off, Its in beta. Dont suspect it to be 'ownage'. Second, ATleast they can MAKE a game. Dude i bet you cant even make a sprite game. Third, This game isnt REALISTIC. FOr crying out loud ITS A FREAKING PC GAME. Dont ask why its 16vs16. CS is like that and it turned out one of the best FPS'. If you have a REAL reason to say this game is shitty let me know.
