How many of the registered games are playable and more than just a name on a list?

Fair enough some of them have screenshots and more detail than the initial blurb, so it makes you assume that these ones are still going, I guess.

Just a thought.

I think I might know what you're talking about, so here is my response :3.

Not many, most of them are made by a person that was bored. Not many of the games are though through and done well. I would say like 30% are actually playable with an alright community.

i completely agree with glavus, its actually kind've disturbing how many people call a game great because theres a referal incentive to lie about how good it is.

Good reason to check things out first before registering I guess. I also meant how many are dead and no longer actually on the web ;) but never mind this was also good to know.

Depending in what your looking for you can classify a game as good or bad but doesn't mean there won't be people enjoying the game. About the people actually playing the game and referrals here are a few titles:

Batracer -> 89k players, perhaps 40k are active. This is a racing simulator (F1 2002, 2008, Le Mans series, BTCC, Champcars, V8 series, A1GP, etc). Referrals active and the people who refer gains money to spend in Kool Tools (some tools to help to store and share setups. Also the ability to play more competitions at the same time. Not really necessaty to play the game - I played it for over 1 year without KT and only have them now cause a friend offered them to me)

Dead Frontier -> still in BETA. might have a lot of active players in a near future. Looks promising.

Fallensword -> 1.7M accounts, around 250k+ players active. Before the referral was done by just making new accounts and FSPs were credited. Due to that perhaps 1M accounts were made by cheaters and are fakes. Now you only get FSPs from referring is the referred players reach minimum lvl25 (and that's why now I have it my sig). "fantasy/fantastic" RPG. a bit of Grinding on higher lvls (minimized by doubler skill and super doubler potions).

Gangsterhood -> 2200 players, about 1500 active or a bit more (PvP only with gangsters). No referrals.

Gladiatus -> 100'sK players, perhaps 30k active. 12 servers so I don't know if it refers to 1 server or more (RPG PvP based). Referrals active.

Legend of the Green Dragon -> 19k registered players, perhaps less than 1k active (RPG MUD - becomes repetitive after a few dragon kills). No referrals.

Monsters Game -> aka werewolves vs vampires. PvP based but gets annoying and boring quickly. Items can only be obtained in a "store" and the good items are only for people who donate. Referrals active and the people who refer gains special points to spend on those good items.

Travian -> 200k registered players, 150k active (.com server). There are lots of servers depending on the country so this might be the most successful browser game made until today (kind of a RTS game. based on strategy and alliances). Referrals active and the people who refer gains some perks (don't know what).

These are just a couple of games that I'm more familiarized with (I've ruled out Runescape and a few) and, even though all people that are registered are active or play regularly some of them are really good.

I'll add two to your referrals list:

1. Heroes of War and Money, a mostly pvp multiplayer tbs made in flash. It copes the battle system of Heroes and Might and Magic and makes no secret of it. There are different factions, humans, barbarians, demons, necros, wizards and elves. If you get bored, they let you change faction every day and it keeps track of your level in each faction.

The referal link gives 500 gold to the refer if the referred makes it to level 2, then they also get 30% of there winnings everytime.

2. Absolute Terror, another tbs, but this one is more like a mmo tbs, based on the Neon Genesis Evangelion cartoon. You start off with one unit in your squad but you get an extra unit everytime your squad level goes up.

They're having a player promotion, if you mention the game somewhere and contact the developers they might give 1 of your characters you choose, 160 extra action points for a killing spree. I already used onrpg.
