they only have 55hp and use "Protective Spirit" so they dont get more damage than 10% of their life. and if you use Healing Breeze, you can get that life loss back very quikly

no, protective spirit makes it so you don't lose more than 10% for 30seconds, that means with 55hp you'll only lose like 5hp when your hit, so no, you won't be one shotted.

Unless someone uses an anti-enchantment spell to take away protective spirit xD

Though I guess I should note that there is a new weapon for 55 Monks, the Totem Axe. It doesn't have the Halves recharge on skills (10%) that the FFS has, but it naturally comes with Energy+5 and 20% Enchanting and is much more plentiful (Warriors and Rangers can easily farm it alone, farming groups are common in Ventari's Refuge), so it's a good alternative if you can't get a hold of a 20% Enchanting for your FFS (or if you'd just rather have Energy+5 instead of the halved recharge).

I have one myself and its great for farming those peasky hydras.

Monk Sup runes are cheap now, compared to before. They used to be 11~12k a pop, now they're just 2k. A Totem Axe is also much cheaper than buying a 19% or 20% enchanting component... Now seems like the best time to make a 55 before some new build comes along and pushes it aside, or before A.Net puts an end to 2-man UW groups.

Not exactly. Protective Spirit makes it so that all damage done to you cannot exceed 10% of you max health. Therefore 55hp= only 5 max damage taken.

well protective spirit is hardly ever enough. or atleast for mountain trolls/hydras/minotaurs. add on healing breeze. and yeah for the poor fellows runes can be hard to get they add up to about 21k+totem axe(7k)+low armor ascetics from LA(few k). so its about 30k.
