Hmmmm, try downloading a download manager, I use FlshGet. (http://www.flashget.com/en/download.htm) Then look around the mirror download sites for a shorter time, or try to find a more reliable source. That's all the advice I have, good luck and welcome to FlyFF :D

Where you live and the location of the mirror site affect the download. Say you live in Singapore. The mirror site is in Virginia, your download would probably take a few hours. Say the Mirror site was in Singapore, it wouldn't take as long

You could have them mail it to you and such Kuro-tan, or if you have a friend with fast internet, you could have them dl and install into their cd. You just take the cd and play.

1. What Should We Hunt In Lv 6 - 15
If you do all the quests, that pretty much tells what to do. Otherwise: try monsters your level. If you find them easy, try monsters a level ahead. And so on.
2. Whats The Diferent beetween FP And MP
FP is for "physical" skills, MP is used for "spells" (for the most part... bow skills use MP, but the general idea is there. Mercenaries don't use MP at all, Mages don't use FP; assists use MP for their buffs/healing and FP for their bashing-skills).
3. How To Increase FP OR MP
Bot hincrease with character level. There's also gear to raise them. Other than that, Stamina also adds FP, Intelligence adds MP. Exact numbers are class dependent.
4. What Quest is The Most Important In This Game
The job change quests are mandatory. Other than that, I'd list the ring quest (lvl 23, IIRC --- gives you a ring with +1 to a stat, depending on class) and the plug quest (lvl 43, gives you an earplug with +60 defense).
Other than that, it's exp and/or money, for the most part.
5. Is This Game Will Free Forever?
Who knows. At this stage, I don't think they have what it takes to go payware.
6. Anybody Play at Server... M.......(I Forgot the name, the first one actualy)
I have a char there, but not really playing it... I want to get my main chars up, rather than starting another stupid lowlevel. Not having any resources on Mushpie (or whatever the name is) doesn't exactly make it attractve either.
9. Is There Flirting Or Wedding I Here?? ^^
No. Male and female characters have no differences except for looks. Male and female "version" of an item have the same stats. Occasionally, you might find that male or female items are more expensive than the other; on Aibatt in particular, male merc sets (Petal, Comet, Pangril) are quite expensive, whereas female merc sets (Flower, Cylos, Stitch) are almost "dirt cheap". Don't know about lvl 60+ stuff yet, or how things are on other servers --- I guess there's just too many people feeling that mercs should be male.

thx a lot for your answer!!!! thats help me much... i'm taking a general quest, is there anything beside general quest?

There's basically 3 kinds of quests:
- General Quests. These are given by NPCs (not just those in towns, so it's basically impossible to find them all unless you just use a list from a website)
- Office Quests. These are given by the Quest Office NPC. Their reward is always money and exp, except for some of the very early ones. They always require you to collect a number of quest items from a certain type of monster (contrary to general quests, the items for office quests are normal item drops, and they are dropped by all 3 types of the monster). You can also collect the items without having the quest --- we generally do that because killing slightly higher level monsters is a good thing to do anyway, so we just go for the next set of office quest items to cash them in when the quest becomes available (which is at the level of the "small" monster type).
- Scenario quests. These are basically like general quests, except that they don't have a level requirement, and have to be done in order (i.e. you can't start the 2nd scenario quest if you haven't done/completed the first). I have no idea why they are called Scenario quests; maybe they are supposed to tell some kind of Flyff background story. I still haven't figured out what Flyff is about, though.
Some of these require you to kill monsters, though, so a level requirement is basically added through the back door.
There's also the dungeon quest (or quests, don't know about the dungeon in Darkon just yet). AFAIK there's a bug with the Scenario 1 and Mas Dungeon quests, preventing you from doing one if you're currently doing the other, but I don't remember the details... I think you should just start Scenario 1 before you even think about doing the Dungeon. Dungeon is next to impossible to complete; I don't know anyone who actually got the Serus hair.
Quests in Flyff are *always* constructed from 3 basic elements:
- kill monsters to get a certain number of quest items
- transport an item from an NPC to another NPC
- talk to an NPC
So it's a bit boring :-( But then, Flyff is all about boredom...

thx alot. question time.... hehehe... does anybody know what is "book of technique"? i found it in the dobarobi (or what is it called i forgot, its like sea horses) river... on a stone, the info said is blank... hmm... anyone please tell me.. anyway... i have Unknown letter quest.. where can i have that? and Unknown id quest... where is it too... thx a lot everybody

I'm not sure about the book of technique; it could be part of the lvl 15 acrobat job quest.
Unknown letters, Unknown IDs, Nyanyangs and Office Documents are a special type of quest. These items spawn at certain places; you just pick them up (they can't be traded), and sit around until a new set of them spawns. You might have to compete with other players waiting for these item spawns.
Unknown letters spawn near the Flaris lodelight: go north towards the broken bridge (don't cross it). Turn right past the lodelight and you'll find a camp; the unknown letters spawn around that camp. If you have a good day getting them: there is a second quest for Unknown Letters a bit later, which requires 30 unknown letters. Collect them when nobody is waiting, and stash them away until needed...
Unknown IDs are past the broken bridge, in the Bang area to the right. Be careful with the bangs; they are pretty "high level" compared to the level you have when you get the quest, so be careful of aggros, and don't hit them when you run around the area. If an aggro targets you, don't fight it --- run towards the bridge, and try to loose him on a tree. But you can always cross the brdige; they can't follow.
Nyanyangs (don't quote me on the spelling, please...) spawn around one specific tree, somewhere up north and to the west in the nyangang area. I don't really know how to describe it :( Some people say you have to kill the giant nyanyang for them, but this is total crap.
Office Documents are on Saint Morning, so I won't even try to describe the location now :-)

i have a power dice 8 and 4, are these thing is very rare? i saw many people wanna buy it...
and... when we become a merc, theres two skilltrees, what should we take if we want to be a blade? the upper only? the below one, of both of them? thx a looottt

PD8's are rar, but are hard to sell, even at a cheap price. PD4's are almost always in demand, so sell it for a reasonable price, for Aibatt it'd be 130k-140k, that should make it sellf relatively fast.
Well the skill trees are attack skills and self buffs. If you're going to be a blade, just work on the self buffs, since you'll never have to skill spam. If you are going Knight, self buffs open up your AoEs, and you'll be spamming Keenwheel and Splmash a lot, so you'll probably be using that as well.

okay thx, but, i got the power dice 4 from young laiwolf, anyway, what is for? and? what is the meaning from aibait? if we get it fro another monster, the price is bigger? and.... i'm worried about my flyff... i cant login now, it said, cannot conect, check conection... well! i;m replying this post >.<. anybody know what happening?
Power Dice 4 drops from almost every single monster at a chance. I got a PD4 from killing an Aibatt before.. so yeah ^^;' Lol.
Aibait - he means by the Server Aibait.
And what Power Dice 4 does is basically upgrade your Weapon or Armor Peices. Meaning making it more powerful.
1 PD4 will add +1 to the armor/weapon.
PD4 will allow you to upgrade an armor to +5 max. And once its +5 you will need to start useing PD6s.
Safe upgrade is +3. Meaning you can safely upgrade all your items to +3 without worrying that it will break.
If all your armor is +3, there will be a mini blue glow.
Um... There are ways to prevent breaking an item once past +3. And that is spros.. Very expensive.. high in demand... Not something to worry about anyways when you're high level. Most people make armor higher + when they are higher level and don't plan on changing equipment any time soon.

you could try different download mirrors. Keep trying others and see how much time it takes for each. If you think one of them is reasonable enough, you should continue the download from there.
I think today is the weekly maintainence server check ^^;' So it should be up in abit.

Also, upgrading the junk gear is a bad idea, unless you really have way too much money: upgrading an item piece that's worth nothing, plus/minus a bit, with an item that's worth around 150K, just to be replaced by a new piece of gear in no time?
Maybe much later in the game, when rares are no longer available and people use junk gear, but until then...
Lol.. yeah... thats what i'm doing right now... 30 spare PD4.. just dumping it on leaf set... and.... yeah.. other sorts of werid stuff that come across my path.
Kargor
07-14-2006, 10:08 AM
In my book, Leaf isn't junk gear.
Leaf may just be lvl 5, but it's good for all your Vagrant life. I'd always recommend stashing a Leaf and the male version of it, along with a lvl 5 rare weapon, and possibly upgrading them, as gear to level your vagrants. Having a FS or RM to help level is great, but having the best gear is never bad either...
Whether you want to keep the shields (each type with the highest + you've found so far) is up to you, but with a lvl 5 set you can easily just use the shields you find along the way.
Surprising enough, the lvl 5 stuff isn't that easy to get. Telyia actually had to level with junk suits (and the "Vagrant Suit", for a while).

hey, i have a favor to ask, i wanna be a blade... so the stat ratio is STR:STA:DEX=2:1:2? and.. what skill must i gather? i think i need a protection skill for sword mastery, am i right? pls tell me the right one heehee
Kargor
07-17-2006, 12:06 AM
I don't have a Blade (yet?), so I don't know the stat details. It appears, however, that Blades like to cap their Dex.
So once you have "enough" Dex (whatever the exact number may be...), there's Str and Sta to consider. Sta is never wrong --- Hitpoints, Defense and FP. Giants in particular deal a lot of damage, and damage is best taken care of by a lot of hitpoints :-) Blades also get AoE skills, and there's no use in trying AoE if a single monster already beats you to a pulp.
But then... Str helps with damage. When the monster is dead it no longer deals damage, so you don't need Sta to defend against dead monsters :-)
For myself, I'm not a big fan of low STA for combat builds. Especially melee. All the damage doesn't do any good if you provide opportunities for Ringmasters/Billposters to level their resurrection skill :-)
So, you should really try to read a bit about Blades.
As for the skills... AFAIK Axe/Sword Mastery are the only preqrequisties that are REQUIRED for the skills. I have seen lvl 60+ people using Sneaker, so it might still be useful. Same for Impower Weapon; I don't see a reason why this would become useless. Protection requires a shield, which a Blade doesn't normally have.
Whether or not things like Bloody Strike are still useful as a Blade... somebody else will have to tell you. On the other hand, Flyff is not Diablo-2: you don't spend skillpoints to raise a skill, so whatever you like as a merc, use and level it.

You can probably debate all day about having STA or not. For me, there's always been a simple rule: your stats don't matter when you're dead.
Now, this might be my personal preference, but on a char that will be going toe to toe with monsters, I want hitpoints to survive them. For Flyff, I'd also prefer a melee fighter that can kill giants --- in fact, my lvl 46 merc (who's supposed to be Knight one day) might already have too much strength; I'll be doing STA only, at least for quite a while :-)
It's my first char (not currently playing him, though), and I had felt that Giants are simply unbalanced, so I wasn't going that heavy on STA. Not entirely sure whether I'll ever get him to 60; I might just as well create a new merc geared more towards STA and DEX (i.e. Blade). For now, however, I have an apprentice Ringmaster at lvl 56 to take care of :-)
In any case, DO read forum posts and guides about Blades. It could well be that a low-STA Blade is perfectly ok.
Unfortunately, in most games, you can't have an invincible char with insane killing power. The "original Kargor" was like that (after lots of game research and many months of quest riddle solving), but that was many many years ago, in a galaxy far far away... and still, there were a handful of monsters in the game that could deal some minor damage, and a "trap" spawning two monsters that were a real danger. But other than that, it's always about compromises...
