I mean, Most of the suck, which would make them bad.
And they are addictive as hell.

Well a drug is any biological substance, synthetic or non-synthetic, that is taken primarily for non-dietary needs. So we can clearly see that games are not a drug, however they are addictive.
However if we use the definition any substance that causes a change in the function of the body or mind. You might be a bit closer to it being a drug, however it does not change any function in the body or mind, but rather can effect them through the addiction not the games themselves.
Besides there are many things that are drugs that are legal, as well as many things that are addicting but legal. And most pharmaceutical drugs out are both drugs and can be addicting but are legal.

To be honest: MMORPGs can be addictive as hell, however, there is little to none actual physical/internal damage besides your numb *** and your numb brain. There is only a small group of cases in which the addiction is severe, and in most of those cases, the victim tended to be mentally unstable or other conditions which might have caused the addiction to grow out of control.

Most people have to get addicted just to play an MMORPG, hence the emphasis on grinding in some games, they don't want you to become too immersed (or maybe the game is just too damn grindy) but you know an MMORPG is naturally addictive when you have people willing to do more than 40 hours of grinding a week.
