The Skill Guide and The SLET Formula

Introduction

Hiya Fly For Fun people!
I am just posting this guide to help new players and other players about skilling. Now most of you who read my heading will be like “wtf is SLET Formula?”. I’ll go into detail about that after the Skill guide.
NOTE: IF YOU FEEL BORED FROM READING ALL THIS! I SUGGEST YOU LISTEN TO MUSIC GET SOME REFRESHING FOODS OR DRINKS TO RID YOUR BOREDOM!! XD!!!!
************************************************** *****
Skill Guide (FOR THOSE WHO DUNNO HOW TO USE SKILLS)
************************************************** *****
Skills! Where everyone uses to make them more powerful and stronger! But how to use them and how to level them? Lets start with: “HOW TO USE SKILLS!”
As you are a level 1 vagrant, you cannot use any skills until you are level 3. [TIP: To constantly attack that monster, Hold the CTRL key on your keyboard and click on the monster and all the arrows pointing towards the monster will turn red and stay red.]
Once you are level 3, YOU HAVE YOUR VERY FIRST SKILL! “CLEAN HIT” Level 1. You can find this by pressing ‘k’ on your keyboard to open up the skill tree or go to the start menu and find skills or sumthing. You will notice that it looks like a puzzle piece. Here’s what the skill tree looks like:
http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/4543/skilltree4le.png
To be honest, I have no idea why there is a switch for every skill (Correct me if it’s called a switch and what it does). I’m assuming it’s just to show that you’re leveling your skills or not. When it’s a MINUS looking sign, it means that the skill is not lvling. I recommend that you turn this on AS SOON AS YOU REACHED TO LEVEL 3. To turn it on, just click on the MINUS looking sign and it will turn into an UP arrow looking sign.
To level your skills, JUST USE IT ALL THE TIME! XD!!!!! You can use the clean hit skill as a shortcut key by click n’ dragging the skill to the shortcut key bar [Shown Below]
http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/4408/bar8xl.png
To use it, click on a monster, and use the skill by pressing the shortcut key or just click it with your mouse. You have to hold the shortcut key of the skill to constantly use it but watch out for your FP. You can use it on the ACTION SLOT which is next to the “S” as shown above. Do the same by click n’ dragging into slot number 1. The maximum for the action slot is 5 skills. For CLEAN HIT, you can only have it on the beginning slot. Reason why is because of the puzzle look. If it doesn’t have that little tag at the end of the box, you can fill the Action Slot with CLEAN HIT but you can’t because it’s a puzzle looking piece ^_^! To use the Action Slot, Press ‘c’ on your keyboard or click on the ‘S’ in the game to activate the action slot.
Every time you use the skill, the skill gets Experience and the PXP reduces! WAIT WAT’S PXP?
PXP - AKA Penalty experience, is needed in order to level up skills/spells after changing jobs for the first time. Without PXP, even when spells are cast or skills are used, the spells/skills won't gain experience to level up (i.e. PXP may drop to zero percent if a character died in battle, even if another player ressurects them). The amount of EXP gained by killing a monster or completing a quest is first used to fill the PXP bar. The remaining EXP goes to fill up the EXP bar. Even if showed as a percentage PXP is a fixed value increasing with character level, thus making easier to train skills at higher character levels.
Note: Before getting to level 10, PXP will not increase with training or decrease with death or usage of skills.

Your skill will level if you keep on using it all the time. Once you hit level 5 and your Clean Hit Skill is on level 3, YOU GET A NEW SKILL CALLED BRANDISH! Now most new people (I wish to call them noobs but I find it offending ^_^) brag on to other people and create a new topic in the forum saying “HOW DO YOU GET BRANDISH” or “HOW DO YOU USE IT?”. Notice again, The Brandish Skill is a puzzle piece looking. Unlike the Clean Hit Skill, It’s a COMBO Skill. You cannot use BRANDISH as a Shortcut ket because you are required to use it in the action slot with Clean Hit at the start of the Action slot. You can put at least 4 skills of Brandish in the action slot with Clean Hit at the start. You will notice that every time you use the action slot, you’ll see some black stuff covering up the skills. This is like stamina, you use it and then get fatigue or tiredness or sumthin. It will cover up the skills and you will only be able to use a few of the skills. To get rid of it, just don’t use the action slot and use your shortcut key instead but you won’t get brandish that way.
WELL THAT’S ABOUT IT FOR THE SKILL GUIDE! I DUNNO IF THIS ALL HELP YOU A LOT BUT IT’S JUST FOR THOSE STARTERS!
************************************************** *****
The Skill Leveling Experience Time Formula (SLET Formula)
************************************************** *****
I now go into detail about this SLET formula.
The person who created this formula is ME!
I just named it SLET because I dunno what else to call it ^_^. So what is SLET? Well, throughout the game, I’ve been calculating how much of the SKILL EXP does it increase to get to the next level. Next I calculated how long it will take to use a skill and increase the EXP according to the level of the skill and without using the Action Slot. Here is my Data for SKILLS for every 3 seconds where 3 seconds is how long you cast the skill:
http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/8876/skillexp3su.png
Remember there's 2 kind of skills: fast leveling (Resurrection, Circle Healing) and slow leveling (most others).
Fast leveling skills gets twice the skill exp than slow ones (i.e. 5% at skill lvl1 as opposed to 2.5%).
Special Thanks to kc00lflyff
How I got these data. I first checked the current Skill EXP and then use that skill and then subtract the NEW skill Exp from the Old Skill EXP. For example: My skill exp at the moment is 50.00%. I used that skill and it increased to 50.10%. Therefore, it increased by 0.10% for every 3 seconds of using that skill. I checked it with the other skills if it did the same and then checked it with other job’s skills.
I found that everyone has increased the same amount according to the level of the skill.
Now that I found out about that, I wanted to know how long it will take to level a skill by 1. So firstly, I subtract 100% (where the skill will level at this EXP) by the current skill EXP. Next, I use one of the datas and divide it by 3 to determine how long it will increase a skill EXP in 1 second. I then multiplied it by 60 to simplify it and to make it into minutes. Once I got that, I used the 100%- Current EXP and to divide the “How much of skill EXP I used every minute”. THERFORE I CONSTRUCTED A FORMULA in order to find how long it will take to level a skill:
Time(min) = (100 - Current Exp) ÷ (x ÷ 3 × 60)
Where x is the skill experience for every 3 seconds.
If anyone finds an error in my Guide. I'll give them credits ^_^
