After checking some new mmorpg games I've decided to check some older ones. I've quit playing RF Online in november last year and thought it was quite good game but with lack of Codemasters' support. As for Archlord, I've only played for few hours and didn't quite like it.

So, my main question is: how's the current state of RF Online? Has CM's supoprt improved, how's the playerbase, patches and etc.

Same goes for Archlord. However, I would also like to know if there's some good content justyfing boring grind...

I'll say try RF online.. If you like Sci-fi theme MMOs. but If not try playing Archlord instead.

It's practically the same game, different theme.

The one is fantasy/medieval. The other is sci fi.

Both have sucked up WASD btw.

Lack of support for both games from Codemasters. I already like the core game-play for Rising Force so the lack of support isn't much of a hindrance.

Well, I left RF Online before because of my lack of time and abbysmal support from CM. Looking through official forums, I see that almost nothing changed since last year in the game and there's a petition. Such a godd game and they don't even handle it properly, sigh.

And how is Archlord's development going? Is it getting new content or onyl new Item Mall items?

RF online although I recently went back to Solus and so much have changed (community-wise) so I uninstalled afterwards.

Damn. I remember when I first entered the game on ACC side right after it went f2p, the first thing which I took note was a very supportive and mature community. I remember it went downhill after a month or so. It's a shame since RFO is RvR, PvP and community-based game with Race leadership and such.

I found them both to be pretty fun and archlord is soon gonna get an update (Episode 3) so i would stick with that. TBH RF online is still really good i just don't think codemasters cares about it.

archlord is still as broken as it was in the beginning. I wouldn't bother with either of them.

The update for Archlord won't effect you as a newb at all.

30% content 80 new skills and more.

but still the most ugly grindfest ever!

After reading some forum posts on various sites about Archlord, I decided to skip it. Lack of endgame content and heavy cash shop dependence aren't exactly to my liking.

RFO has near to zero content updates, lackluster customer support and weak community paired with bots. Oh, well gone skip it too, I guess. Hard to find even mildly entertaining f2p game nowadays...

Both are garbage. Hell, I couldn't even get into Archlord, the updater-launcher thing went at 5kbps MAX, and it needed to download 300mb of files. And it wasn't just me, I checked the forums and a bunch of people had the same problem, and the solution; wait it out. Screw that noise, uninstall.

I prefer Archlord. It's a tough grind, but if you make it to lvl 30+ the PvP is a lot of fun.

Don't go with either

Archlord is 100% generic.

Rf online, was good, but the community is filled to the top with botters, hacks etc.

Tried them both to high level.
RF Online is better.
Though, the level of support is very very very very low (true for both).
Codemasters tend to mess games (not their games though) up pretty bad.
It's getting worse months after months and no, it wont get better.

I voted on the option neither i think you can find better games out there. But if you really want one of em. I'd choose RF Online.
