Yup... reality tv has been the main reason why there is not much good on tv anymore.

All the prime time hours are filled with pricks doing dumb shit with judges.

Pretty much exploded with the sucess of Survivor (at least in North America). And that show is scripted and edited so much it might as well have been written/scripted w/ actors instead of real people.

Oh well... maybe the general public will take their heads outta their asses and realize that crap is not entertaining.

Like.... The moment of truth... what a stupid show. You know they won't put on a goody twoshoes on the show. It would be pointless.... so they just get the biggest assholes they can find and the answers are the worst ones 99% of the time. Oh joy... not predictable enough for ya?

2) TV was dead before American Idol. It's the other opiate for the masses. My TV gets turned on for The Simpsons, football, DVDs and Xbox. That's it.

Sigh... 'reality tv' is a term used to describe shows such as big brother, survivor, etc. This is because they have 'real' people and not actors.

There are more reality shows on now than ever, which means less timeslots for better shows... which sucks big time. Although, I am still not confident that anything better would fill those slots.. at least it couldn't be worse.

I don't have one of those, but no worries. I just download HD rips of shows that I haven't seen. That way I can download like 6 seasons commercial free and watch them instead of the regular crap.

(mostly shows from hbo, showtime, etc. since I don't get those stations)

No, it's Beauty and the Geek, and I actually like that show, gives me serious luls when they try to do normal people acitvities, like when the geeks tried to MC in front of 3 6 Mafia.

But yeah, there are only a handful of GOOD shows, and since the writers strike, those good shows have gone slightly downhill.

I don't think the TV is killed... There are still things "worth" watching, or at least things to satisfy the taste of most people... Just watch what you like, and leave the rest...
For every single reality show that is made, there are sure to be tons, and I mean tons, of other shows made as well...

If you can't find anything worth watchning on TV, you either have the wrong channels(or less than 5), or you just weren't made for watching TV in the first place.

This season I never watched really watched American Idol (although like others say, the first few weeks of it are funny because there are many that are pretty bad).

The only one that has kept me entertained and I for some reason can watch over and over (not many I like to do that) is America's Best Dance Crew, definitely check it out.
