Xenogears. Yes the original from the PS1. It had a compelling story, awesome combo battle system, and decent 2d/3d graphics for its time. A deep combo battle system and storyline are key here. Thanks in advance!

Well... most free to play mmo's have a generic combat system like WoW.
About all that I can think of right now with combo systems:


Cabal is a f2p game that has a combo system. As far as the story is, I am not sure, as I only played the game for like 25 levels or something.


For pay to play there is Age of Conan. That has a combo system, and so far a pretty big story.


edit: note... i can't remember much about the xenogears gameplay, only that it was a great game
