I am a Pure Wind wizard and i have to say it isnt so bad. Requires a lot of jumping over enemies and cast combo spells.

I saw a Earth element and i liked what i saw. The shield buff they can cast is REALLY good for wizards since it helps them take hits from enemies much more than i thought. Not sure about the attack skills though

Fire from what i heard does the most damage but also requires the most sp to use.

If you want to go damage/splash damage I'd go with fire. If you want a least amount of sp waster go wind, for healing go with the two water branches, and eart has good buffs ^^ Even better, you can try some hybrid mix and just reset later. I went all fire but added a few points in some wind skills....and I kind of regret it.

    I'm pure fire =]

    Pros,-
    High damage
    High crit. rate damage
For me personally it's the fastest to level. (to me anyway)

    Con,-
Low health (all mages I believe)
    No def. Buffs
    Cast delays
Hit Rate isn't to good (misses here & there)

That's all I can think of

    anyways,

Use a dagger & a shield, because using a staff only gives you +5 accuracy unless you find a good one.

Privering Dagger is awesome for Fire wizards, so try to get that.

Have Iris stones in your hotkey, yes you will die... so have these prepared, 3% is a lot of hard work & exp. Use it if you think you are about to die, do not hesitate!!! =|

I havent really seen many wizards go dual element, but i dont really see a glaring problem with it. For getting more skills to cast, you are giving up accuracy and damage of them. IMO, you would kill monsters faster if you keep comboing all your skills together, but you will also burn mana pot so much faster.

Right now, im testing a Wind/Heal build, but it is kinda screwed up since i am lvl 32 and have 6 skill points invested in passive for magic stat, 4 points in healing, and maxed first 2 wind attack tier, first 2 wind masteries and a point in windwalk. Working out quite well atm, but running out of mana quickly is a problem. I might skill reset at lvl 35 and reinvest my points in the passive for magic stat and place them into more healing/wind mastery.

I'm using a Earth/Wind Mage. I can't say how effective it is yet cause i'm only level 9 but so far I've had no problems.

I saw someone today with three elements...
