    Bah its a dell computer.

You might as well upgrade the processor. Since your current CPU uses an AM2 socket.

This is prob one of the ideal choices that will suit your pc.

    AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200 Brisbane 2.7GHz $74.00

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-210-_-Product

Your mobo prob is compatable with ddr2.

I would go for 4 gigs of memory (2x2) if you truly wish to add more.

    CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2G 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 $90.00

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-184-_-Product

If your buying windows 7 make sure to get 64 Bit to take advantage of the 4gb of ram.

Your current 8800 should be able to handle most games medium to high. Upgrading to 200 series Nvidia cards would make little difference besides running cooler/ less power consumption unless its GTX 275 or higher. So dont bother upgrading your video card.

Tbh your current rig is able to run most games on fair settings. I would suggest you save up a bit more + the 400 bucks and get a complete new gaming rig instead.

gooloo hes not wanting to spend over 100 dollars and hes get windows 7 so thats takes a big chunk out of the budget and plus 3gbs of memory and the CPU he is running he should be able to play games like Huxley and Fallen Earth

Also hes motherboard cant handle DDR2 to many MHZ.the max it can handle is DDR 400mhz

Bah your mobo can handle only ddr1. You might as well go with kira advice and get that 1GB of ram. But i doubt it would make much of a difference.

Or you can forget upgrading your current PC and save your cash for a new rig. For a 600-700 Budget you can prob a Phenom II X4 build. Thats if you buy the parts and build it yourself.

I say wait a little longer until the new video cards come out to upgrade.

The 8800 GT can still play pretty much any game on max settings.

I have an 8800 gt and I am waiting for the new 300 series. I might not upgrade until they start releasing games where my card cannot handle alot of the higher settings.

The way to save money is to buy a mid end cards and upgrade every few years when newer technology comes out like directx 11.

Although your CPU might be bottlenecking that GPU.
