    Default virus problem

okay got this virus that somehow escalated after i tried to remove it.... it stops me from booting into any kind of safemode or even into a regular windows startup right now im on my second hardrive trying to scan things but with nothing happening i tried to scan with avira and malwarebytes and they both picked up nothing (well malwarebytes picked up something and i got rid of it but it didn't help) can anyone else recommend me a good scanner that might get the virus? or even how to get rid of it?

Are you sure that you didn't just break something?

    Im using this:

    http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

    And AVG Free.

I scan my PC once a week using this too:

    http://onecare.live.com/site/en-US/default.htm

The full service scan is great.

full format is the best thing you can do to get rid of those viruses.

it might not actually be a virus now... scanned it way to many times and nothing still.... or maybe i should try avg....

well... the thing is when i boot up my computer into the original hard drive, it tells me to select safemode, safemode with internet, safemode with command prompt, most recent working setup, or regular windows, but whatever i select it always automatically restarts the computer so maybe its something wrong with the boot script? however even with the windows recovery thing i can't fix it because i don't know the administrator password (if this is the password for administrator accounts i have no idea and i never set one)

How can you even scan, if your computer automatically restarts, before you get into the OS?

    This is confusing me.
