I am not sure if this helps, but a similar problem happened to a desktop pc that I had. It turned out that the mobo (motherboard) was fried, and there was nothing I could do, but get a replacement comp.
The best thing for you to do right now is to bring in the laptop to a computer tech center, and have it diagnosed.
