    Default Anyone live in Maine?

I'm only really familiar with the Old Orchard Beach area (and some of the surrounding areas)...I'm looking to relocate, and Maine is sounding pretty good to me.

So, if you live there, or have lived there, lemme know what area and how it was. I prefer somewhere near the ocean...and somewhere that doesn't get disgusting amounts of snow.

I'd love to live near Old Orchard Beach, but I know damn well that has to cost incredible amounts of money

Don't listen to them, Oister. Come live in my desert. It never snows.

Been taking vacation to Yarmouth island in the quahog bay area very nice area, really laid back and chill, right on the ocean (though not like a beach or something), good fishing damn good fishing!

Seeing as how my family "owns" Yarmouth island (notice the quotation marks 3 families own the island but we turned it over to the state as conservation land due to property taxes being huge (not a small island), and when my dads generation in all three families dies it pretty much will just go back to wild lands the cabins and stuff will just rot), i have been there at least once a year for a week or 2 at a time (the island is a blast no electricity, really helps you escape the world ya know).

The area is awesome everyone is nice, people respect each other and about 10 mins away is a big shopping area, stop and shop, fast food joints etc etc.

Though i haven't looked into buying a house or renting an apartment there so i cant say as to how expensive it is or how good the job market is so sorry you'll have to research that you self :P
