Default Computer to play Rift on

Now i did a lot of research on ibuypowerpc and cyberpowerpc and the reviews scared me away, i don't want to have paid for a rig and feel like i just rolled a dice.
Anyways i was wondering if both of these computers can run Rift? and possibly GW2 in the future..
don't need an OVER the top crazy machine, never had a laptop before so i don't know if a Desktop or Laptop is the way to go? if there are any differences.. (while gaming)?
I know that it would be a lot cheaper to buy parts and build my own.. but i don't have the time or patience for that.. And Alienware seems to be the safest choice to go with.

well do you want a laptop or desktop? or both?
you can get a decent laptop to game on, but if you dont have to have one i suggest desktop like always.

Laptops are generally more expensive and not as powerful, and you cannot interchange the parts of a laptop, for the most part, so you wouldn't be able to upgrade later on.

I strongly suggest a desktop for gaming unless your hell bent on having a laptop..lol

I also suggest building your own desktop if possible as it's a lot cheaper and simply easier to exchange parts that are defective...with buying a whole computer at once if something is defective you have to send the entire thing back again...which stinks.

One site to look at regardless is newegg.com (.ca if your in canada)

Yeah, laptops feel awkward to game on imo, and to get a high performance lap top you going to need to spend a lot more then you would for a desktop.

as for alienware, if you want to buy over priced then go with them.

give me your budget and ill start shoping around for you guessing by the 900$ alienware thats your max?
and i of course recommend building your own desktop but if you don't want to thats fine you can still find nice pc's now days with about the same performance as a pc you built you self for around the same cost.

you guys are making me want to build my own lol .. i just dont want it to come out wrong ..If you were to compare the difficulty of building a computer what would you compare it too?

And after reading the laptop comments im just going to go with a Desktop i guess

i just made this one on alienware and it does feel over priced but can it play everything regardless of the price..?

    A bit tougher than lego.

Building a PC is quite simple or rather underestimated a lot.

Honestly the hardest thing right now is finding a motherboard and then looking up ddr3 ram that was actually tested on it. The rest is pretty simple.

Please make sure you check on the ram though, ddr3 is very stupid and isn't as plug'n'play as ddr2 was.
