Huge FPS drop playing Sacred Gold

So nostalgia hit me again and I redownloaded it(in Steam) and wanted to play. But it seems that the game refuses to spit out more than 10-15, at best 20 FPS even though I am able to run Dead Space 2 on max graphics.

Last time I played it, it was all nice and dandy.
Any guesses?

Oh and I am on W7 64bit, all drivers are up-to-date.

change the number to 30 are something. hopeing this works for you

well since your getting 20 fps try number 20 but i use 30 on certin game. and it seems to cut my lag back.

Heh I just started playing Sacred last night but I don't have this issue, Windows 7 64bit here too.

Did you happen to skip the DirectX portion of the install? I think there's some important files needed, just wondering cause I don't really know how that could happen unless maybe you've updated your display drivers since and now it's not playing well with the new drivers.

I remember a discussion about quite a few newer drivers breaking Sacred, might be what you are experiencing.
