Graphics add a fantastic range of features to a game. From immersion to better portraying the story, it's an essential part of a game, just lik the gameplay, sound, story, etc.

Also, just pointing this out, Consoles are bad. They're holding back gaming in every possible way, except for the popularity value. Other than that, from a game quality standpoint, they're terrible.

This is from a person who thinks he has to max everything out. I have and probably never will have the resources to max everything nor if I ever get the stuff to do it will I ever max something. I mean if you like the gameplay you should play it for that not for graphics. You do not need graphics. Heck probably the best games I ever played were probably text based or the n64. You dont need graphics to make a game fun and enjoyable.

Well it's not just graphics but some games on consoles run pretty bad.

In Dead Rising 2 I noticed some huge frame rate drops......like 14fps.
The PC version runs at a solid 60fps for me or higher if I disable vsync.

Dark Souls on PC also doesn't have that huge fps drop in blighttown like the console version has.

Who the hell cares? I mean honestly if you are playing a game because of the graphics or looks "Sexy" then in my opinion you shouldnt play it at all. I mean I really hate graphics whores. It is the most annoying thing ever when they say "Oh the gameplay is nice and everything but the graphics suck 0/10 would not buy" It really is annoying and it was what really pisses me off about most PC gamers. At least console players dont argue about how games look most of the time.

And it seems you skipped over the last part of my post......

And everyone argues over graphics be it PC or Console gamers.

There are popular websites dedicated to comparing the visuals of Xbox 360 vs PS3.

Heck I remember the days of the SNES vs SEGA Genesis.
Everyone was trying to boast one way or another over graphics.
I remember back in school people wouldn't shut up about the Genesis being better because of blast processing.
People have always been arguing over visuals.


I play console and PC games.
But if the game is on both consoles and PC then I will almost always choose the PC version because it is the best version 99.9% of the time.

There are plenty of high quality console-only titles that are good. And also work better than PC controls. Dark Souls, Uncharted, Last of Us, Gears of War (pc wasn't too awesome) Super Smash Bros, etc. I can name more.

How is dark souls controls any different on the pc? lol plays exactly the same, no fps drops, looks better. Elaborate please!!!!!!!
