Question about servers in games.

Hi everyone and thanks for the help you can give me^^,

I was wondering,
generally if I play a mmorpg on a foreign server instead of playing on a national server
will I be more exposed to lag?

For example,
I play Dragon Saga (Located in the USA, actually it's a supposition since it has been bought by an american compagny) and I feel some lags.
Will it be better in that case if i decide to play the Europe version?

You will lag less on the European version if you live in Europe, yes.
