Old Series but, Good Reviews

I was thinking of ordering a game on Amazon. This game is called "Thief". They do have a series and they released copies of the game years ago.. So on Steam I saw the games 1 and 2 (Thief 1 and 2). I just wonder for a person who never played the game/series which should I get 1st (the reason i'm ordering it on Amazon is because I thought it would be neat to own the box)

you can buy the games on Gog.com. and they make them windows 7 compatible.
if you like stealth games, get it.

as for playing 1, i would just to get accustomed to the way it works and the main character.

Steam got sale on a whole pack, just saying...

Saying that the both 1 and 2 are good 3rd? not so much...

I don't like stealth games so meh don't ask me...
