Default So what did you do today for a workout? (continuous thread)

well I noticed quite a few onrpgins are beginning to become more and more active. So I decided to make a thread where you can post what you did that day for a work out. I know some of us are at a higher activity level than others so please try to be nice and respectful, this work both way folks take advice with a grain of salt please.

    My goals:
Old weight: 256lbs (8 month ago)
current weight 220lbs, very active (workout 5 days a week and hike on weekends)
    Goal: 190lbs

While I am dropping weight slowly it is mostly because I am actually doing it right and I won't have to worry about gaining back 50% or more of what I lost because it was all water weight from a poor dieting pyramid scheme.

I'll start with a little catching up to do.

Monday: 1 hours 2 mins on tread mill walking 3.5 mph at a 7.5 incline
Tuesday: cardio = same as monday, 3 sets of 40 push ups (not sure why I went with 40..just seemed like an okay numbe that day ), 3 sets of weighted sit ups (25lb), 3 sets of 30 lb hammer curls, 3 sets of tricep extensions
Wednesday: 1 hours bike ride around neighbor hood (equals 8.5 miles with plenty of big hills), and a brief 35 min tread mill session at 3.5 mph at 7.5 incline.

I have been on a real cardio heavy workout routine lately mostly because it was a challenge from my bro. He runs marathons and said If I could beat or match his time for this upcomming august 5 mile a thon he would buy the drinks that night..and I was all like challenge accepted, it probably won't happen any ways big guys like me are kinda screwed when it comes to marathons, but we will see maybe I'll show up that little skinny punk.

So what did you do today for a workout?

p.s I also don't due much weight lifting because as for now I am moving people furniture for a living (until some much anticipated paper work finishes up), and well yeah lets just say I have a new found hatred for people with solid oak china cabinets who live on the third floor..

    Picked up my fork.
    Consumed food.
    Put down my fork.

This was a big milestone for me today, I'm quite proud of the progress I'm making and I think I'm ready for a larger fork tomorrow.

I rode my bike to work, which I would have done anyway. It took me a little less than an hour, but that was because I was really pushing myself. The last part is a massive hill.

also I'm training for a marathon when I have spare time. Maybe not as much as I'd like, but work really sucks the energy out of me. it sucks.

I'll post my next time on here. :] probably on Friday.

It's like 106 out. It kills my motivation to do anything.

I went shopping for like 6 hours. Would have been 4 but my friend's ride didn't show up on time so we stayed longer. <3

Every day I do arm and chest workouts with weights, swim for an hour, play basketball at the gym for about 2-3 hours.

I ride a bike 4 miles every day when it's 110-115 outside.. not by choice. I have no motivation for exercise, as my body never changes no matter what I do. I went through months of working out and whey protein shakes and gained a total of 2 lbs. I'm stuck at 110 I guess.

and before anyone mentions, being underweight is no easier than being overweight. Fat people always try to give me that sht.

    I weigh 75 kg at 182cm.

3 days a week I run 5-6 kilometers, while wearing 10kg backpack, end the run with pyramid sets of push ups(3 variations, diamond etc), sit ups(3-4 variations), squats and shoots, and hang ups(2 variations), press ups. Two of three days, I do all these while wearing the backpack(with exception for sit ups duh).

1 day of the week I do 3 hours of Brazilian jiujitsu, 1 hour stretching and warm up drills, 1 hour technical drills and positional sparring, 1 hour free sparring.

1 day a week I do striking, follows the same pattern ad the bjj class more or less, except no positional sparring, which is replaced with focus mits, heavy bag work, additional drilling, or objective based sparring.

Yesterday was bjj, so today is my day off to revitalize.

Had today off from work but I ended up having to dig a 3 foot deep 2 foot wide 20 foot long channel in my front yard today so my dad so could start the installation of his new lawn care system (central pump and central run line for an in ground sprinkler system). Other than that I worked my legs and core today with a short 45 min tread mill work out, not gonna lie that channel digging did a number on me lol.

I went to the gym today for the first time after my two week vacation in Southern France.
I did 3x5 squats, press, benchpress and 3x8 pull ups and dips.
