    Default Modern day FF:T ?

Does anybody know of any games that are like modern day FF:T, preferably for the PC. I always liked them kind of games. Was thinking of trying to find a Tactics Ogre: Let us cling together rom, if possible as that seemed really good from the trailers. So, any suggestions?

Makes me think of Front Mission, though I guess that's more futuristic than modern day.

the disgaea games are only for the playstation, but they are basically what you want apart from that.

Despite its uncommon graphics, I heard lots of good things about Rainbow Moon.

I own a xbox360, not exactly keen to go out and buy a PS3 for one games (I know, the PS3 has some real decent JRPG's and the likes) after buying parts and custom building my own PC. Recently bought a DS Lite and Harvest Moon The tales of two cities.

I was considering buying the PSP because it has monster hunter and tactics ogre let us cling together on it.

Was Final Fantasy type:0 going to be released on PSP or 3DS?

Honestly for SRPGs, PS3 is like THE console:
    Rainbow Moon
    Disgaea 3
    Disgaea 4
    Arc The Lad (PSN)
    Arc The Lad 2 (PSN)
    Arc The Lad 3 (PSN)
    Arc Arena (PSN)
Not to mention the more modern ones like Valkyria Chronicles.

XBox360 has for example Vandal Hearts on XBLA. But even better than they I'd just get the Sega Mega Drive Collection for Shining Force and Shining Force 2, which are the best SRPGs ever IMO. Despite those, I don't really remember any SRPGs for XBox360...

PC has some SRPGs too, well if we count all those western RPGs that have an SRPG-like battle system anyway. Oh and there is Grotesque Tactics and Grotesque Tactics 2.

I can safely assume that the "PS4" upon release next year (rumored) will play PS3 games. Ill pick one up then! (:

I cant describe with words how much I loved the sheer simplicity of Vandal Hearts but the overly beautiful storyline and events during and between battles. I couldnt stand 2 minutes of the XBLA version.. The graphics, sound, oh hell, the god damn tutorial level was all off in my opinion..

Ill look up Grotesque Tactics in the morning. I want to try and a find a PSP emulator and TO:luct rom as im short on cash at the moment.. I do have a chipped PS1 though, Need to buy fresh disks for it to burn games. Thankyou for your responses!

Vandal Hearts XBLA isn't so bad. I enjoyed it a lot up to a point where it become impossibly hard. I had the same problem with Vandal Hearts 2, though. Didn't play it longer than 5 minutes. Vandal Hearts 1 is still the best game, though.
Rainbow Moon has a similar artstyle to Vandal Hearts XBLA anyway. You better get used to it, because this is pretty much how all HD 2D games look like. And yes, I don't like it either.

Final Fantasy Type: 0 was released for PSP almost a year ago. We just haven't seen an English release yet.
