I want to say Mu...but idk if you can run it.try it out and see if your gfx card can handle it.
If not then your stuck with browser mmos...
Fantasy Online would probably be your best bet
    Serenia Fantasy
that's all I can think of atm.

The RAM alone is probably worth $30... And you wouldn't call it your old computer.
Maybe Angels Online, Tales of Pirates (aka Pirate King), Maple Story, and Runescape..?
    Ah nope :/ You need 128Mb graphics-card.

    your computer is fine.

i wish people would stop saying u must have this mega powerful computer or that mega uber computer.
oo.. ok u only have 512 meg of RAM... hm may bneed to boost that RAM. Anyway :-

i think Diablo 2 will run on your PC and it has great multiplayer.

if you buy a super cheap $5 old AGP gfx card (and maybe $5 on extra RAM) you can run Neverwinter Nights 1 which has excellent multiplayer (better than D2 and almost as good as WoW). i have also heard neverwinter nights' official servers have been permanently hacked so you may not even need to buy a CD key to play it.

there are other great single player games which you will probably still find fun and may run on your PC: Caesar 3, i suspect Pharaoh will also run, Zeus Master of Olympus, Age of Empires, 688 Attack Sub, Red Storm Rising, wow all the great old DOS games will run. Every generation of computer has great games for it.
Be warned - I am a major player of Regnum Online the mmo. I've been playing it for about 2 years and rarely go without logging in at least once a day. You can also look at good alternatives to Regnum such ase Aion online and Aika Online.

i have played lineage2 interlude with 256 MB ram, took a while to load the game but as far as im in same spot (grinding/pvp) it didnt lagged... (minimum graphics ofc)

but Uncharted Water Online is good for low system, played that on 256 too, didnt feel the lag at all...
Some people just need to give a high five...in the face...with a chair...

The problem is Lineage 2 has a minimum req. of a 3.0ghz+ processor and 256mb video ram.

Uncharted Waters would be good, though. 800mhz processor, 32mb vram and 256mb ram.

Adventure Quest Worlds is a decent browser, and it might be possible.. I can't find any actual requirements on it though, so idk.

Upon further research this is what I came up with:
    Conquer Online
    Maple Story
With Your Destiny (maybe? gfx card is bare minimum)
    Asda Story

That's what I could come up with. I guess there is a somewhat decent amount of low req mmos, more than I expected so I hope this helps a little.

I don't want you to think I'm some kind of elitist jerk, my first post was just jokingly, and it's an unexpected request. I'm by no means ridiculing you though. As far as some of these low req mmos go, I guess I learned something today, so that's always good. I hope you get your main system fixed soon so you can get back to your gaming

My only hope now is that queenvoo can find it in her heart to forgive me for my doucheyness.
    ...and she should be my friend. I friend requested her weeks ago ;_;

i played Lineage2 interlude with 1.66 GhZ +256 Ram, now i have 1.66 GhZ +1.2 GB RAM and i barely lag. i like that in L2 you can ACTUALLY reduce the graphics. most games hides only shadows/skill flash or wind effect on trees- in L2 you can increase or decrease the whole graphics. thats the only game (and Dungeons and Dragons) where you can actually make different in graphics (at least i know just these 2) and it dont require that dumb a** graphic shader 2.0 (damn i hate games with shader 2.0)

conquer online...the movement n whole gameplay feels silly...i played only for 1 hour i think...

WYD (with yo destiny) is sure low requirements and graphics isnt so bad but...you lvl by killing mobs in a small area, those mobs sometimes drop "xp" item which give you xp...you use item and get xp...kinda dumb way to lvl...again i personally didnt liked the whole gameplay, graphics isnt so bad.

Adventure quest world...i played it only a couple of minutes- to fully enjoy the game you need to spend cash to unlock stuff n lvl spots- lame

eh, that's the best I can come up with . At least one of them might be entertaining enough to not die of boredom while his/her pc is being repaired.

I wasn't playing it for really long time so i don't know how system requirements changed but i think Tibia would be enough for some time. Mu is also great game with low reqs.

    squeezy ><

sry i didnt mean to criticise really :/ tho wow when i read my post ya its critical

um i guess i just feel bad for all the nice games people are missing out on. but ya the newer ones are nice to look at.
also the computer specs he has are a bit basic.

o i cud suggest Kohan Ahriman's Gift also as a good single player game. (i think u need a basic 3D video card tho so yea... )
I like Kohan because the AI is awesome. i mean, really awesome. it feels like you are seriously playing against real human players.
in fact, you can set ALL the player slots to AI and spectate the war and it feels quite dramatic.
Be warned - I am a major player of Regnum Online the mmo. I've been playing it for about 2 years and rarely go without logging in at least once a day. You can also look at good alternatives to Regnum such ase Aion online and Aika Online.

Not at all. I often come of as kind of a jerk, being terrible at translating humor to text and all.

Unfortunately, not even a little bit. Elsword has randomly high requirements for its quality.

Yeah the ram wasn't bad, but most of it is because of the 64mb video ram.

Could go for some old school style and download Warspear Online, not sure how intensive that is on a system since it really is SNES era graphics on an MMO.

List of games I tried and didn't work.
    -Maplestory had bad FPS rips.
MuOnline- People made me lag in town.
Conquer - FPS rips went from 25 fps to 1. every second.
Realm of mad god- for some reason i got bad fps.
crossfire- even on everything lowest possible still lagged.
UWO- so far it was the most playable still only got 15 FPS on lowest.

    Next I will try ragnorok
thanks guys for bringing this post back to life
