Can some1 help me find this anime

Ok so I wached this anime a whille back and i feel like re-waching it but i forgot the name and i can't find it
It's about a guy and a girl traveling together and searching for some artifacts or someting there was magic involved and the world was medieval also from time to time the guy wold lose control of himself and turn into a god like thing that wants to destroy everyting
Also they weren't the tipical heroes like theres this one episode i remember they made a dragon with one of the artifacts by acident but instead of stoping it they desided to just run away and come back and colect the artifact after the dragon has destroyed a few viliges and depleted the artifacts energy.

Ok so tnx if you can help me and if you can't can you at least name 1 magic anime that wasnt mentioned by a person in this tread

i don't watch a ton of action oriented animes let alone magic ones, but i did quite enjoy both Kore wa zombie desu ka?, and demon king daimo (the name in japanese escapes me right now, that and i disliked the last 2 or 3 episodes)

I think my absolute favorite as far as magic is Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. It looks childish at first but it gets really ****ed up and trippy.
Another favorite is Toaru Majutsu no Index.
