Never got in to the game, unfortunately. Had several trial accounts. I want to get in to it, but I feel like it's to late.

I felt the same way when I first started, but the community is really helpful and corporations in high-sec are always looking for new pilots to join. Joining a corp really helps out with the big learning curve too. Once you get a handle on whats going on, it gets pretty easy to figure out all the different skills on stuff. Its always fun blowing stuff up with huge *** ships lmao.

Its never too late, the amount of time it takes to get pvp ready in eve is a bit over stated, within a month you can have a halfway decent myrmidon(or your races battlecruiser) for level 3 missions and a decked out t1 frigate for pvp(the main thing people do day to day pvp in anyways) add a extra month to get all of your passive skills to 3-4 and you'll be golden in pvp, that being said EvE sadly isn't my type of game the combat was way to slow.

its once you get into battleships and up that the training gets very tedious and long.

You gotta play it with 3-4 ships at once.

I got this while it was on steam for $5 on steam. Currently planning to go for mining (as a source of income) and then focus on combat related stuff. I plan to play this as a side game (meaning I'll probably spend 15 minutes at most on it a day) until I get a decent character going, which can take months from what I understand.

Been reading the forums and stuff (I've just gotten into Eve a few days ago) and apparently you can buy/sell characters "legit" in Eve now and CCP oversees it. That's always an option I guess. Of course, to buy an account that's been training every day for the past 10 years is going to cost something like $600 (looking at the forums) but you can get one that's been around for a couple years for not much more than what a AAA game would cost you. I might look into getting one myself to speed things along a little.

Yep its true aslong as you do it through the charecter trading hub on the website its legit. If you have lots of time on your hands Eve online is deffinatly one of the best sci-fi games out there i played it for 4 years finnally let my account expire on the 29th last month im regretting it already.

I went ahead and bought myself an account and I would say that it is definitely worth doing if you plan on playing. For $50 or so, you can get a character that's a couple of years old and well skilled already which you can then focus on specializing for what you want. It actually works out cheaper buying an account than it does paying the subscription to train it yourself. (Not only that, but it saves you all the time too!)

If you're thinking about playing, do the 21 day trial and if you enjoy it, "buy" the game for $50-60 and you'll be in the thick of it right from the get go. Just don't go flying the biggest ship you can straight away as you likely don't know how to play with it yet. Work your way up from frigates like you normally would but at a rate matching your own knowledge/skill instead of the arbitrary skill points.
