    Default star wars vs lotr

Yes I know what I have started. Purposely no poll to generate conversion.

You can base it on the original trilogy of each, or factor in the hobbit/3 prequel films if you want.

    Well?

lotr if we're saying lotr franchise vs the star wars franchise (ie. including the lotr books)

star wars if we're only including the movies.

Are we going by the movies only? If so I enjoyed Naria more than the LOTR movies. I found the Hobbit to be an extremely boring movie and I haven't bothered watching the new one. I enjoyed the cartoon version of The Hobbit when I was a child. I enjoyed Star Wars before they ruined it with the prequels and now I can't look at the series the same way.

I'll say LotR only because The Hobbit is probably my favorite book ever.

Lord of the rings. I've always hated Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate... Space just doesn't do it for me.

Star Wars! I grew up watching Eps 4, 5, and 6. They're so good, even today, and they have a lot more sentimental value to me than Lord of the Rings.

Although, LotR is really good too. It may only be second to me because of the time it was released. Who know!

And I kinda feel like the books are the only true way to experience Lord of the Rings. The films are nice and all, but Peter Jackson's trilogy is closer to Star Wars than Lord of the Rings. Not that they're bad, they just aren't very accurate to the tone and content of Lord of the Rings. Hell, in the films you only get to see the map of Middle Earth 2-3 times!
