Anchorage is the closest city to where I live (150 miles from Anchorage by small aircraft out to the bush village where I live, no roads) So they got it right on.

I live in Tennessee. The dialect test puts me a little to to the north north/west.
I'm just glad I don't have the TN accent, every one tells me I sound like a game show host.

Dizzys I got Rochester, nicks I got buffalo. So yeah, dead on since Syracuse isn't really a landmark city.

To be fair, I hate most accents that don't sound normal. Brooklyn, Boston, super-Canadian (SORE-y?), and Southern. I can't think of any others in the NA region.

i guess you would hate me then since i am from the south i have a accent

No, I don't hate Southern people, just the accent.

Not a normal "accent," because it's not an accent, just normal to the United States standard. Just about every NA movie has actors who speak normal, with a minority of actors who play roles with accents.

Most of the US (minus the southern accents) and Canada (minus the french accents I suppose) are just quirks of pronunciation rather than a characterizing accent. I know "accent" is subjective, but I mean the subtle differences. Like "aboot" in Canadia. That doesn't qualify as an accent IMO.
