Honestly I have the Alpha for Day Z, you win the game as you spawn, you get a weapon that you can kill zombies with no problem

Your fist... just run in circles and they wont hit you

    Zombies/Loot dont respawn either

Either play Nether or the Day Z mod, both are 10x better then both mentioned
600$ PC (not including HD and Case since using previous one)

    Windows 7 (Direct X Awesomeness)
    Intel I5 2400 1355 Socket (210$)
HD 5770 x2 (got them on sale) (200$)
    8 GB of Ram (60$)
    PCI Sound card 7.1 (40$)
    Motherboard (60$)

Nice to see someone else with a little bit of sense. I'm tired of every god damn indie game coming out with the same tired bullshit, Rust, 7 Days to die, Nether, seriously man, this whole "LETS MAKE MINECRAFT/SURVIVAL WITH ZOMBIES, ALL THESE IDIOT KIDS WITH BUY IT" shtick got old months ago, I'm hoping another purging happens with 2014, this time instead of mmos, make it shitty ideas like this.

Well, Cthulhu horror games are pretty hard to make, at least in the aesthetic sense because of the whole human brain not being able to comprehend the horrific image that is Cthulhu.

I'd buy the bejesus out of a Call of Cthulu style open-ended single player game, kinda like a more refined TSW with proper action combat and more open ended stories o-o

You should try out rust. Fun little game to play around with :P. I just started up and it has eaten up a lot of my time.

As many others already said, it's weird to compare 2 games that aren't finished and in different progression-states right now.
If you want to do it anyway (with current versions), imo:
    #1 Nether
    #2 Rust (#1 if you like crafting/building)
    #3 DayZ mod
    #4 Infestation
    #5 DayZ Standalone

Honestly, a huge amount of players in both games are already comparing them.
Both developers have set a price for their games meaning people will spend money on them.
Since, I have played both I thought I would share my thoughts.

If I had played the others before I would have compared them as well.
I really look forward to trying 7 Days to Die.

I've been wanting to play DayZ, some posts on /b/ made it look fun when playing with a team.

Currently playing: Eldevin Online as a Deadly Assassin
