    Default The Banner Saga

    Has anyone tried this? I just got it and about to try it out now. I've heard mixed reviews about it so I'll let you guys know what I think after awhile.

    Only thing you need to consider is that some characters are forced into some battles so it might not be the best idea leaving some at level 1. Though they might change that via a patch.

    Is this an MMO (The Banner Saga: Factions) or a single-player game (The Banner Saga)??? Found different info.. :/

    Single-player.

    Also, try to take care of your characters. In this game it's easy for both sides to die or at least be crippled from injuries during a fight. Hint: Your life meter is also how much damage you do. As you get hurt, you do less damage. And if a character is "killed" in combat, then they're wounded (they start a fight with less life and recover in X days) and this can spiral out of control.

    Finally, be careful with your choices. That is all.
    Messing around.

    @bullit
    It's actually just as you said. The Banner Saga: Factions is a free online PVP version of "The Banner Saga". The game "The Banner Saga" without subtitle that you need to purchase is a single player campaign game with the same mechanics as factions.

    Oh I remember seeing this on..! HOLY **** THEY RAISED $700,000.

    Looks like a real fun singleplayer game, but I feel I can't go back to the turn-based PvP genre.

    Bought the singleplayer game today. So far it's amazing! I love it!

    Except that they said (even on Kickstarter) that the game will be DRM-free but now it's still just Steam only, 2 months after release. Don't really want to support lies.

    I wasn't a big fan of it. I played for a bit and then stopped. I'm sure I'll finish it eventually but not right now. I've been trying to beat Persona 4. =/
