    Depends on a few things:

    A) Which games What settings C) Do you already have any parts or peripherals. If you're looking for a $600 + Monitor @ 1080 on Ultra, no. Well, unless you're playing solitaire.

    1. Just games like Starcraft 2 and stuff. Though I do want to play future games coming up./
    2. I have keyboard/mouse and monitor already

hardly can last you a year or two if you want to play those future games considering the game companies are terrible with optimization

Use Amazon warehouse deals bro. You'll save more money.

Q9550, GTX285, top tier parts from 2008 (cpu) and 2009 (gpu) only runs Skyrim (2011) on 35-40fps with peaks to usually 45fps max on medium settings and 1080p.

Just to give an idea that within 2-3 years, your low to medium-ish system is going to be total shit. :/

You can also sometimes find good deals for computers on craigslist and kijiji. Sometimes if you beg a friend they will sell you a gaming PC. In my experience I look at the game I want to play, look at the recommended system specs, and then search for that on kijiji and my favorite computer store, compare prices, and buy whichever gives me the better deal. The reason I like secondhand computers is because they are more eco-friendly.

660Ti and 8GB is fine, CPU bottlenecks the 660Ti in CPU intensive games and you will feel that it's not that good soon enough. 750W PSU for 50USD is pretty much shooting yourself in your own foot. Seeing you didn't say which and crazy on auctions, this might be good. The 40USD motherboard also sort of falls under this (like older chipset like z67/z77 or being mATX).
